So, even though Christmas is part of this time of year, I dislike it soooo much. Its cold, snowy, people forget how to drive in snow and ice, and of course the roads and stores always seem so crowded. yes, I whining!

YES this is my favorite time of the year! I'm down in Mississippi and it's 53 degrees right now. Won't be much colder for Christmas- MAYBE down to freezing if we're lucky! Snow if we are EXTREMELY lucky! The best "Christmas" I ever spent was the year we went to Disney World for Thanksgiving. It's already decorated for Christmas (lights and all) and is absolutely gorgeous! I love spending time with my family, most of which lives in Dallas. Fun times!

Christmas season (not the weather) is my favorite time of the year. I am a very disciplined person most of the year; I do without and I have always been extremely frugal. But I love giving gifts and I always lose a little control at this time of year. And now that I have 9 grandkids, it's even worse. I promised myself I would cut back this year, but it didn't happen. (Just trying to help the economy?)

It is and isn't my favorite time of year. It is because I LOVE Christmas. Love giving and getting presents. :) Not gonna lie, it's not only the giving, it's also the surprise of what I'm getting too. lol. Love the snow. But hate the cold. It's not my favorite time of year because I love the summer, love the heat and hate the cold. :) Oh and I hate having to have all the winter clothes out they take up too much room, summer clothes are so much easier, and no coats. haha

No not really. My birthday is December 21- so that means every time this year equals one more year older for me. :(

However, what really disappoints me is how society reacts to Christmas. The seven deadly sins start popping up after the Fourth of July it seems like. I know we are all deal seekers here, but here in Iowa (yes Iowa), we had gunshoots fired in one of the mall parking lots on Black friday! It scares me. I wish Christmas could reflect the true meaning and not the ugliness of the world.

Sorry for sounding like a downer post, but instead of saying Merry christmas, I'm gonna say "Happy Birthday Jesus" instead. :)

I have to admit this is my favorite time of the year - not a fan of the crowds and shopping, but love the light displays and special time for family!
