Although I love Christmas, Spring is my favorite time of the year!!!

Living in upstate NY, the winters are hard and we look forward to April - the snow goes away and almost overnight the brown turns to green!!!! It's a beautiful time of the year!!!!!

Nope, my favorite time of the year has always been autumn. I loved going to school and my birthday is right at the end of summer so September always felt like a fresh start, and that's when the local Renaissance Faire is going on, plus the topper of Halloween, my favorite!

However, even though I was raised in a very broken, non-traditional, secular family (and I'm half Jewish!), I do love Christmas. I still manage to get that warm, fuzzy feeling, I love the lights, and I love finding the perfect gifts for people and spending the time getting the wrapping just right

Nope...not really!

I detest winter! I don't like snow...don't like being cold...can't stand that when you walk in snow, the back of your pants gets wet (and COLD!) up to the backs of your knees! I don't like cleaning the salt off the carpet and floors. I don't like having to waste gas, warming my car up. I don't like the static electricty in the air, and the shock you get when you touch anyone if you're wearing a sweater. Oh, and since I'm living with 24/7 hot flashes...I can't even wear sweaters!! And don't get me started on how much I hate seeing the heating bill!

Is there a positive side of winter for me? Sure!! I do love Christmas...AND...it's basketball season!!!

I love Christmas, but I don't like the things that come with it lol. The Christmas music that starts in the stores Nov1, the crazy drivers, and crazy people in the stores. My fav time of the year is summer. I love the beach (even though it is so far away) and my bday is in the summer.

Really truthful No! This is not my favorite time of year. I actually am very fearful about entering many public places this time of year. I usually try to go alone and not take my kids when I have to go. So many people are stressed this time of year and money is low that the rate of robbery is so very high. Just in a vicinity of where I live there have been at least 4 known robberies. One was right in the viallage I used to work visited the store daily. At the time the store was robbed a ex co- worker was thrown to the floor by the robber. I almost have a panic attack just when I have to enter the bank for certain transactions that I can't do through the drive thru.

On the bright side of this time of year I do enjoy all the time off from work and school with the DH and the kids from school. It is really a fun time to all get together and spend some nice quality family time together. We are still really lucky that we are not covered in snow and each day the boys ask me if were are going to get some snow. We love to build snow forts and have snow ball fights, followed by a hot cup of coco with marshmallows.

I LOVE Christmas, but don't love the chaos that goes with it. I love the decorations, and the gift giving, ect... but I love PP who said Happy Birthday Jesus, I say AMEN to that.

I can't say that this time of the year is my favorite. I think spring is, and as far as my faith goes, Easter is more meaningful to me.
