RAOK Holiday Cheer - Potluck of Stickers and Potluck of Coupons RAOK

What have you done this holiday season to bring some holiday cheer into the life of others?

Share a story of holiday cheer and get a chance for a Potluck of Stickers and a Potluck of Coupons RAOK.

Did you drop money in the Salvation Army pot? Did you donate to the food pantry? Did you give away a RAOK here? Did you contribute to HHH at HCW? Whatever your story, please share it. If you haven't done anything yet, it isn't too late. Share a story of what you will do or would do if you could to bring some holiday cheer to someone else.

I will choose a random winner on Tuesday, December 13 at 9pm Central.

Over the weekend before Thanksgiving, my family and I spent all Saturday morning going door to door and giving away turkeys and boxes full of canned goods to random residents in the city's most impoverished area. We gave away 98 turkeys that day and were blessed to make lots of wonderful new friends that day. It was awesome just getting to know everyone.

My husband has sponsored a family through his work (our local college), and we just spent 3 hours shopping at Walmart for them last night, wrapped all the gifts (and bagged/boxed the everyday stuff they needed now), and plan to drop it off with them this afternoon. We spent more on their one family than we did on our entire family, extended and immediate, for Christmas! :) Interested to see their reaction when we show up with a carload of needs/wants today!
There's a special checkout lane for every other instance, why not one just for couponers? Driver carries no cash - I don't need any if I use my coupons right! Once a stockpiler, always a stockpiler. Will work for coupons - then I can trade them for ones I can use to get free food on doubles day. LISTS http://hotcouponworld.com/userlists/firefly779

Well, I have contributed to several of the HHH auctions, donated money in the Salvation Army bucket, and just yesterday gave a big tip to the lady who cut DD's hair because I know she has been going through a rough time and thought she might need a little extra money.

Thanks for offering this RAOK :-)

My life sorta took a turn for the worst, and I will be alone on Christmas afternoon. So, I am volunteering at a church lunch for those in our community that don't have any thing to eat instead of sitting at home feeling sorry for myself.

We do this thing at work called "Frosty's Friends" where kids from a youth organization whose parents can't afford much for them for Christmas write a letter to Frosty (instead of Santa) and the letters all get posted on a bulletin board and people grab one and try to get what the child asked for, within a price range of $25 to $40. Well, I of course grabbed the letter from a girl who wanted a Disney Princess doll collection (considered her a kindred spirit), but when I went to buy it, it cost $60. Then I found out it was part of Target's Black Friday sale for $39.99, so I was there in line at 1 a.m. so I could get it for her.

P.S. I don't have much use for the sticker potluck, so if I happen to win that one, I'll pass it on to the next random number, thanks!

P.P.S. Oh! I also gave blood last week! I'm type O-negative, so I feel that I should especially donate whenever I possibly can.

At my work, we put together big gift baskets for several needy families in our small town; I donated two big bags out of my stockpile of personal care items. I also give $ to the Salvation Army outside of Walmart every year.

Our family has donated bags items to our local food pantry twice this month... We put money in a few of the Salvation Army pots.... made 2 dinners for sick neighbors on both sides of us.. and Donated some money to The Giving Tree in our town to help buy gifts for children here. Donated pj's to a PJ's for Christmas program... Thinking of a few more things too !! Thank you for the chance.
