I LOVE to do turkey breast in my Crock Pot!

1 frozen Turkey Breast (5-6 lbs.)
    2 tsp. vegetable oil
    Salt/Pepper to taste
    4 cloves garlic
    1 medium onion

Rinse the turkey breast, rub w/oil & season with salt & pepper. place in Crock Pot breast up.

quarter the onion and place the pieces around the turkey. Peel the garlic and place the whole cloves around the turkey.

Cover and cook on low for about 9 hrs or until a meat thermometer registers 170.

I use the broth in the crock pot as a base for soup, too!

I found this recipe for chicken and stuffing a few years ago in a Taste of Home magazine. I have adapted it a bit to make it even easier. You can use 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves or 4-6 cups cubed or shredded cooked chicken. I have even used the meat pulled off a rotisserie chicken before.

    Slow Cooked Chicken and Stuffing
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
    • 2 cans cream of chicken soup (or can use mushroom)
    • 1 cup chicken broth
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 2 -3 cups stuffing mix, dry
    • 1/2 cup melted butter
    • salt and pepper

put chicken breasts in the bottom of crock pot. Mix together soups and milk and pour over chicken. Sprinkle dry stuffing over chicken mixture and then drizzle the melted butter over the stuffing mix. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours or until done.

When I use the cooked chicken, I mix the soups/milk and the chicken together. Then layer half the chicken mixture in the crock pot, cover with half the stuffing, drizzle some butter and repeat the layers.

My fam loved this when my kids where little. I have also added cooked vegies in with the chopped chicken, used leftover turkey, mixed in dried cranberries, varied the flavors of soup and one time even used canned gravy because I didn't have soup. It is very versatile. Oh, and I have also put cheese on top of the chicken mixture - shredded cheddar or swiss.

    Thanks for the chance!

    Stew Meat in Tomato Sauce
    1 pound of stew meat
    1 can of tomato sauce
    1 can of tomato paste
    1 can of rotel
    1 onion chopped
    1 bell pepper chopped
    4 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 a stalk of celery chopped
Seasoning to taste (I use Tony's, but any season-all will do)

I usually cook the onions, celery, and bell peppers on the stove before adding to the crock pot. I like the texture of them better that way, but you don't have to cook them first.

I put all the ingredients in the crockpot and add a little water so it will have more of a gravy. I cook on low for about 8 hours

    Serve over rice.

You can also substitute chicken instead of stew meat.

My favorite is more of a dump, mix, let cook! Don't really have any measurements for it...and it always turns out just a little different than before!

    Chili
2 Large cans of Hanover Dark Red Kidney Beans, drain 1 of the cans
5 lbs cooked hamburger (dh loves his meat!)
2 Small cans of tomato paste
2 Med. cans of diced tomatos
4 Packs of dried chili powder

Thats it! Best of all, its usually stuff that I ALWAYS have in my stockpile!

    Thanks for the chance!!!

like many others this isn't going to be an exact recipe since many slow cooker recipes aren't much of a "recipe"

    Chili lasagna
    1 pkg uncooked lasagna noodles
2 cans chili with or without beans
    1 jar pasta sauce
1-2 pkgs of shredded cheese depending on how cheesey I want it and if the cheese is a good price

Layer sauce then uncooked noodles then some chili and then some cheese and then just rinse and repeat over and over again. I fix this in the morning and set on low until dinner time. I let it cook all day

I recently used this one for Pulled Pork and it came out great!

    Ingredients

    • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
    • 1 (4 pound) pork shoulder roast
    • 1 cup barbeque sauce
    • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
    • 1/2 cup chicken broth
    • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tablespoon chili powder
    • 1 extra large onion, chopped
    • 2 large cloves garlic, crushed
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
    • 8 hamburger buns, split
    • 2 tablespoons butter, or as needed

    Directions

    1. Pour the vegetable oil into the bottom of a slow cooker. Place the pork roast into the slow cooker; pour in the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Stir in the brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion, garlic, and thyme. Cover and cook on High until the roast shreds easily with a fork, 5 to 6 hours.
    2. Remove the roast from the slow cooker, and shred the meat using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker, and stir the meat into the juices.
    3. Spread the inside of both halves of hamburger buns with butter. Toast the buns, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown. Spoon pork into the toasted buns.
