Re: Emergency Kit Items RAOK
It isn't an absolute necessity if you have lots of batteries, but it is easy to forget to rotate those things. We've got a great little discount store, and I was able to pick up both a wind-up flashlight and weather radio for very little money and they work great. The store is the type that gets one-of-a-kind merchandise, but it comes from vendors that sell to discount and dollar stores, so I think some places must sell them quite reasonably. I've just never looked, since we've already got them.

Re: Emergency Kit Items RAOK
WOW! Great ideas from everyone! I recently checked our car kit and found things that needed to be rotated out - dried out baby wipes, batteries that had leaked, outdated food. I also had to restock our first aid kit.
Wonder if it would be a good idea to have copies of birth certificates, social security cards, passports? List of family/friends that you would need for emergency contacts including names, addresses and phone numbers? Also picture of each family member in case you become separated and need to show pictures to help others in locating family.
Thanks so much for this great RAOK!!
PLMK if I owe you feedback or if you have questions...
