What if a trader doesn't leave feedback?

I have conducted a LOT of trades in the past couple of weeks.

Quite a few traders (mainly non-TNT!) have not left feedback for our transaction. I generally put a "thank you for the trade" note in my envie with my user name on it.

Is there a standard for how to politely handle this? Should I wait maybe a week and then "nudge" them by asking if they received my trade?

I really want my feedback. . .

Feedback is encouraged, but we cant make people leave it.

a one time pm with a hello, I would love feedback from our trade usually does it. Some traders just get super busy, or do not have a system in place and some feedback falls through the cracks.

I always appreciate a gentle nudge if I've forgotten to leave feedback! I have my own system in place so I don't forget, but it's not fail proof! I leave the PM in my inbox until I receive the trade. Once I get the envie, I click on the PM and leave feedback. Then I delete the PM.
Also, don't forget to put your member name somewhere!! I can't tell you how many times I've receive an envie and have no idea who it is from! I can usually figure it out based on what is in the envie, but not always! I can't leave feedback for someone if I don't know who they are.

I will usually include a little note saying that I hope you can use a lot of these coupons and to please leave feedback upon receipt. After about a week and a half to 2 weeks I will follow up with the people that I trade with and try to verify that they did receive my envie. I'm a big believer in following up. I want to know that whoever I trade with did receive my envie. It allows me to address any problems with the trade that could have come up. You can't make a person leave feedback, but usually when you contact them to make sure they got your trade they will usually remember to leave feedback then. Another important factor like mydogalex2000 says, ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR SCREEN NAME IS ON THE ENVIE!!!!!

Be sure to leave your user name visible on your envelope and/or in the envelope you send.

Just a quick note with a reference to a past trade will usually prompt someone to recall that they have forgotten to leave feedback.

I usually wait 3-4 weeks after a trade is completed.

You've gotten some really good advice here from the previous posters. And, I totally agree that putting your name on the envie and/or a note inside is crucial. While it's fairly easy to figure out who sent an envie, it should not be the job of the person receiving it to dig through their inbox to match a member name with a trade envie. Personally, I'll put a few minutes into it, but that's it. If I can't find it quickly, I set it aside. If they PM me about it, I'll post feedback, but I'll also explain why it was late.

If I sent a trade, and haven't heard from the recipient in two weeks, I send them a friendly PM. Mostly, I'm making sure that they received it. It usually goes something like this:

Hi! I was going through my inbox, and saw your name from a trade we made a couple of weeks ago. I checked my iTrader page, and I see that you haven't posted feedback yet. I received the envie you sent and I posted feedback for you. I hope that the envie I sent has arrived. If it hasn't, please let me know, so I can make it up to you. If it did arrive, I'd be very grateful if you'd post feedback. Thank you.

Also, you may or may not decide to do this, depending on the volume of trades you are planning on doing, I took advantage of the free business cards Vistaprint offers and had some printed up with my screen name/real name, email address, and a little blurb saying how I appreciate feedback. I just insert one into the envie with every trade I make. I just picked a cute lil design that fits my personality and just paid for shipping.
