I add a capful of Pine Sol to my washer loads. I have an older washer, and this works wonders! I have a setting for an extra rinse, so my clothes don't smell like Pine Sol, but they don't have the "funky" smell. HTH, and good luck!!!

You might want to spray your clothes down good with febreeze before washing them too. That may help with the smell.
