I had the littlest cat in the world. As a full grown adult she still looked like a 6 month old kitten....anway her name was crickette. Whenever she would groom herself my son who was a toddler at the time said, "Crickette thinks she's delicous."
One more day!!! I am loving the pictures and stories! Every time I read on I end up with a funny smile on my face and dh says "ut oh, looking at pix and stories again!"
When I first got married my husband came to pick me up from work and I had a box. He said, "There better not be a cat in there".....and well there was but I told him we needed to keep her overnight and then return her the next day to my co-worker when I went back to work. She ended up living a long life with us. :) We named her Tasha so she would have a person's name because we lived in an apartment that didn't allow pets but we snuck her in. We didn't want anyone to hear us calling her by a cute little petsie name and get suspicious.![]()
Eww just thought of another one. When Tasha passed away our other cat named Stick Man (which was her son) walked around crying from room to room constantly. He would not eat or sleep for about a week. I did not want another cat, but my husband said Stick Man needed a friend. So, we went to a pet store to get another kitten to keep him company. I wanted another grey cat like Tasha. They had some really cute tiny kitties that were grey. I was standing there at this wall of cages looking at them when I feel this little tap on my shoulder. There in a cage that was shoulder high to me was an older black kitten trying to get my attention by reaching out between the bars tapping me as if to say, "Look at me. Pick me. Pick me." They had her so long at the store that they had reduced her price to $19.00. The older kitten that nobody wanted before came home with us and that was Crickette. She was just what Stick Man needed.
All of ours have picked us out in one way or another. Chicka was sticking her paw out the cage trying to get my attention. All three of the dogs were giving me the saddest face! I get to pick out the dogs since I'm the cat person and the other way around for dh. We figure we have to be able to live with what we pick. I'm a sucker for faces and big ears! Nini, my runt was in a condo of kitties and dh saw him through the window and said we need to go in there. That was the only day for 2 years that Nini was not shy! He came home with us and immediately went to the basement. I was afraid he'd live there the rest of his life. Since then, he has made a complete turn around. He's still the runt, but he is the prince!
such cute stories!
My sister has a cat and when she told me her cat likes to suck on earlobes and her eyelids, she wasn't kidding!!!! I stayed over one night and her cat is friendly and laid down on my chest. I was watching tv and all of a sudden she was sucking on my earlobe. it felt so weird!!! she was purring and content so I just let her lol
