But also I may try that new Woolite Pet Urine Eliminator Spray. It says also removes blood, feces, vomit, & more so its worth a try. Theres also a rebate to submit to get it free so you def may wanna try that. I got it at Walmart. It was $3.99, I had a coupon $1 off any Woolite Formula, so after rebate, it will be a money maker. I know that if it is a person or animal baths in tomato juice work not sure what to do about the house ...wonder if for the base surfaces (hard ones as the smell permiates EVERYTHING) using a spray bottle with watered down (not tooo much) tomato juice would help. I'm sorry you have to go through this, i know my uncle got sprayed when he was s child, grandma said ALL of their tomato juice that year was used to get him and his dog to quit smelling.

Run a portable de-humidifer. If it's humid your house will smell worse or the odor will see to come back.

You could try lemon juice around the house. It has taken alot of smells out for my family.
Fresh lemons are best, try boiling some on the stove, in the microwave etc.

I have also heard tomato juice. My grandmother, God rest her soul, was a very wise woman. She bathed anybody human or animal who got skunk sprayed in tomato juice. Thankfully, I never experienced this personally, and I hate that you're having this to go through. :-(

I couldn't suggest any other cleaner that hasn't already been suggested except tea tree oil (Mellaluca ?) I'm sure I didn't spell that brand name right. Anyway, Mellaluca sells natural cleaners and they're very good and have a very pleasant scent. This is actually products made from tea tree oil. I'm sure you could find some ratios online to mix your own.

Have you tried a combination of borax and washing soda (not baking soda) in the laundry? I would try that and perhaps a little degreaser like the old fashioned Stanley degreaser. Since the skunk spray has oil, I think this would work on your laundry.

By the way, let us know what works!

i would say water down some tomato sauce and put it in a spray bottle and spray the area then clean it off so it does not stain. tomatos are supposed to break down the smell.

I wanted to thank everyone for your suggestions. In addition to what I listed above, we bathed the dogs in mouth wash ( we were getting desperate), coated the carpets in baking soda (thanks to the coupons and the 12lbs bags from he[[mart) and scrubbed dh from head to toe with a "man" scrubby (axe... is the only way I could get him to use it! LOL) and a mix of baking soda and white vinegar. I also found fabreze extra strength (had a q!) and that seems to help.

I didn't use peroxide or tomato juice on anything... white dogs (all three), white carpet, and dh's blondish hair! So I can't say anything about how that would work. Oddly enough, I did make my own laundry soap a month ago (1 cup grated bar soap (I used Burts Bees Peppermint) 1 cup of washing soda and 1 cup of borax) that stuff worked wonders! Then, instead of fabric softener I used white vinegar.

My kitties are loving the fact that I have had all the windows open all week! The house seems to be airing out... I'm thinking its just a wait and let air out thing!
