Hi All,

I'm slated to go on a talk show tomorrow and I need some great deal ideas in the NY City area. I will have a camera crew following me as I shop so I really need some great deals to purchase for next to nothing. If you have any ideas please let me know as soon as possible-my flight leaves in 12 hours!

To the person who gives the best advice by 8:30 AM Eastern I will send a thick envelope of great coupons for free! I will post the winner on Friday Morning. Multiple winners are a possibility...

Where will you be shopping?

Do you plan on doing grocery/drugstore shopping or something different?

I'll list some things for you as soon as I can figure out what sales I'll need to pull up.

I'm not sure what stores are near there but I'd call Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens to see if there nearby and get together coupons for there. Same with grocery stores. Maybe call your hotel and ask the receptionist what stores are close. The store you told me about has a 25% off coupon on there website at Filene’s Basement – Where Bargains Were Born
Goggle any close stores to look for printable coupons and check the HCW site too. Hope this helps and good luck!

It would probably be quicker and easier to use the store locators on different stores' websites. Just a suggestion.

i'm not sure where exactly you're going to be at in nyc, but i'd check these stores to see if they are in the area you are going to be in:
A&P/Super Fresh/Waldbaum’s
CVS
Pathmark
Rite Aid
shoprite
Stop & Shop
Target
Walgreens

I would call ahead before you go to any store and ask about their coupon policy....you don't want to be on camera at a store ready to get some great deals only to discover that you can only use 1 of each coupon, etc, etc....

Shoprite doubles their coupons and you can use up to 4 of the same coupon per shopping transaction. You can also double your coupons up to $.99 at A&P, Shoprite, Stop and Shop, Pathmark.

A lot of department stores may also have clearance sales on off season items.

I would use sales papers and possibly even call the grocery stores and explain that you will be filmed shopping. The store will get publicity so maybe they will advise you of good deals or they may even create some so they will look good in the public eye. Afterall, if they get footage on tv, that is free advertisement for them. Also, I would check the forums on this site for the grocery stores in your area. Usually people post the deals on that part of the forum for grocery stores. If you have enough time, e-mail some of the manufacturers that offer free coupons. I know I've gotten free coupons from Manchuria, Xtra, Martha White, Sunny D, New York Breadsticks, Shasta, and Flatout.

I'm guessing that your shopping trip is already finished, but if not or for future... now is a great time for clearance clothes/summer items. Just find matching q's. I know Target had the $2 off graphic tees, which ended up with clearance tee OOP $0.59 and also a $3 denim making clearance jeans under $2.

Also, things like at Target, I believe photo prints are on sale $0.10 each and there's a $2 off wyb 20 q. Not positive since I haven't reviewed my weekly list yet, but I think I remembering seeing it when I was scanning the ad.
