Today I was in a grocery store & had to use the restroom. I glanced over at the feet in the stall next to me & thought "Wow, those are some unattractive shoes." After washing my hands, I turned for the paper towels and there it was....tucked in the corner....the urinal!!! I was in the MEN'S ROOM!!! I high-tailed it out of there - undetected! WHEW!! When I got to the laundry detergent aisle I saw the unattractive shoes coming at me!! It was an elderly gentleman who appeared clueless but apparently NOT as clueless as me!!!

SO, tell me your most recent not-so-smart move & on Saturday I will let my DH pick a winner (that is if he is done laughing at me by then!!!!)

A couple years ago, I was wiping after using the bathroom and it was during my cycle. My then three year old came in during this, looked, and walked back out. Once I was out of the bathroom, the phone rang. It was a 911 operator asking if everything was okay. They said they got a call from what sounded like a child. As I was explaining that everything was okay, I realized what happened. I hung up with the person without explaining that my three year old thought the blood was a sign of an emergency. I just couldn't do it. Hahaha

So, this is pretty classy...

It was early in the morning and I was driving to work. I turned my seat warmer on to heat my back and unwrapped my granola bar to eat my breakfast. I was jammin' and having a good drive into work. When I arrived, I went to my desk and sat down for a bit. Then I decided to use the restroom and this is where it all went down...

A co-worker of mine said "umm, you have something on the back of your pants". My response, "what?!" so I went into the handicap bathroom stall to use the full length mirror. I discovered that the chocolate chips from my granola bar had fallen on my seat while driving to work, and because my seat warmer had been on, they melted. Oh, and on this particular day, I was wearing KHAKI PANTS. So yes, it looked like I had shat my pants.

Fortunately, I was able to find a spare pare of pants in the office and change before more people noticed. Quite the adventure!

I was riding back with my daughter - in -law after we went down to get their new house before my son came off deployment and of course it was late at night. We had stopped at a bbq place to eat dinner and in between there and home there isn't alot of places to stop (3 hr drive). Needless to say I had to tell my daughter in law I really needed to go or I was going to go in my pants - she kept asking did I want to stop (hmmm let me see - middle of nowhere, it's late and dark and no toilet paper - No Thanks!) I tried holding it as best as I could but alas it did happen. We finally got to a town and the nearest place was a Mcdonald's I was so afraid they were already closed since it was almost 11pm. They gave me some funny looks as I hurried into the bathroom and talk about an explosion. I would hate to see the face of the person who had to empty the trash that night especially since it had yucky panties in it.

Years ago, my husband tried to repair a tear in the seat of my car with one of those vinyl repair kits. He taped it in place with man's second best friend - duct tape. At the time, I was in a cast d/t a broken ankle and was on crutches. When he dropped me off at the bus stop so I could go to work, apparently the duct tape stuck to my fanny. I rode the bus to work, walked with crutches 2 blocks, and walked through my building with a large piece of duct tape hanging from my fanny! I did notice lots of funny looks but I figured it was because I was on crutches... Finally a co-worker pulled it off and handed it to me.

I don't want to win, so please don't pick me (there's better stories anyways) - but I thought this would be a good place to unload my embarrassing story. :) I was at Rite Aid last week, and when I'd gone in I took a rebate booklet to take home and look at. When I went to leave, there was this really old guy in a wheelchair with no shirt on, standing up to yank his pants to his armpits, blocking the in-store cart return. Not wanting to tangle with said geezer, I pretended to read the rebate booklet off to the side, hoping he'd leave soon (not likely at his current pace, but I figured I'd give him a minute at least before just ditching the cart nearby). It dawned on me that the booklet was actually last months (expired by 3 days), so I walked it back to the rack where I'd got it, with the ads. As I headed back to my cart, I misjudged the clearance between myself, the old fart, and the rack, and brushed the corner of the stupid rack with my left hip/thigh and TORE MY STUPID CAPRIS (and got a nice scrape to boot). I stood there, mortified, and out loud said "Oh no!" and the geezer says "Did it try to getcha?" I replied that it in fact had got me, used my two bags of Kleenex boxes to cover the damage and left the cart, never returning it to the corral after all (he hadn't moved an inch anyways). When I got home, I both burst into laughter and then tears because they were my only denim capris, and I wear them every single day, especially to church because they're dark washed and comfy yet attractive. I'm losing weight after baby #3 and haven't been buying much, plus it's expensive anyways. I lucked out and had one of those $10/$25 Q's from JCPenney lying around, expiring the next day, and I found myself a new pair (a size smaller - woohoo!) for less than $10 all said and done. So, it all ended well, but gosh, what a rip - literally!

When DS1 was in preschool, he told his teacher that "mommy doesn't pee because she only has a front butt, no wee wee" (No he hadn't asked me about body parts yet, he came up with that on his own) HAHA

Last week I took my 3 older grandkids to play laser tag (as an observer); unforunately I had to play to make the numbers even. I tried to act young and it was dark and I fell! After my grandson asked if I was okay, he shot me! Note to self: 63-year-olds should not play laser tag with 7,8, and 9 year-olds!

Ok, I'm wetting my pants reading these posts!! Maybe I should keep the panty!!! KIDDING!!!

I gotta say I do feel a little better about my own embarrassing moment!! So, keep 'em coming!! I won't let my DH read these til Saturday morning over coffee - and hopefully he will spew his coffee on himself & I can get a laugh at his expense!!


kjo890 - That reminds me of the Great Rolo Incident of 1993!! For 18 years I have not been able to enjoy the chocolatey-carmely goodness of Rolo's while operating a vehicle!!

I am a high school teacher, I am sure there are lots of stupid things I have said and done but this one sticks out to me. I was in the process of learning student names on the first day of class while the students worked on an assignment. I was asking students their names and then trying to remember it. I get to one student wearing boy clothes and short hair and ask him is name. His response was Rachel. I thought I misheard so I asked again. Again he said Rachel. I am sure I had a puzzled look on my face but then I opened my mouth and said well that's an interesting name. Then some other students realized what I was assuming and they so kindly told me that he was a girl. I was so embarrassed.
