RAOK Giant RAOK- Lemonade out of lemons!

UGH! Ladies (and gents) today has been the suck. My entire coupon class no-showed, no emails or calls, just didn't show up. The baby has been having nightmares/night terrors, so I am snuggling him non-stop. Poor little dude!

To make someones day bright, I am offering a HUGE RAOK envie. It's a large manilla envelope full of coupons- inserts, mailer, peelies, pads, blinkie, IP's- any kind of Q you can imagine! It's basically all of the coupons I was offering the class attendees. There are several hundred (maybe about 400+), I didn't count.

This is a great RAOK for newbies. All I ask is that you not sell them. expiration dates range from 6/30/11 until 12/31/12.

To enter, post something that will cheer me up (I need it!). I'll pick a winner before I go to bed tonight!

My dad sent me this. Hope it makes you smile! Cheer up

A father and his son are hiking in the grand canyon. The go around some bends, over some hills, and through some nooks. They round the bend and see a native american sitting on a rock.
The father points to the native american and says, "son, native americans have the best memory of any peoples in the world"
The young son thinks he's quite the smart one and goes up to the native american and says, "What did you have for breakfast last tuesday."
Without hesitation the Native American responds, "eggs." The son is impressed and goes on with the hike with his father.
30 years later the son is now a grown man, and is hiking the same trail with his own son. He goes around the same bends, over the same hills, and lo and behold, rounds the corner and there is that same native american on the same rock.
He's an older wiser man now, and will really test this native american. He walks up, raises his hand in greeting and says "HOW"
    Native American responds, "Scrambled."

Well to cheer you up...just keep thinking about all those outrageous receipts that your no shows are gonna get at the grocery store LOL

My oldest has night terrors but it has gotten so much better. The best thing we could do was get her to wake up. We often plopped her on the toilet..and some how viola..she'd wake up. Once she was awake...all was fine, no more crying or screaming.

I'm so sorry they no showed, that's awful. I'm sure you're an awesome teacher so just figure its thier loss. My good news is that I've been at my job for 1 year now. I love my job. This weather is beautiful! I'd definitely put the coupons to good use as I don't get many other than inserts. Hope your next class goes better. You've definitely got the right attuide, making lemonade out of lemons!

As my kids are getting older (1 12 y/o, two 13 y/o) I look forward to each hug or sweet comment.

Last night, my youngest had a bad night - he had a stomach bug, and we let him sleep in our room, since we have an attached bathroom. As I was helping him clean up (for the 5th time), he said "I'm sorry, Mama. I didn't mean to be so messy". I had to give him a quick hug (while holding my breath!) - I just love that sweet little voice calling me mama!

So hold your baby close, and those night terrors will go away - eventually. Then he'll be telling you, thanks mama!

My son, who is 5 1/2, told my 18 month old, that she looked beautiful today. She wore mary janes and the lacy socks and he made her smile! :) I love the innocence of kids. They always help me to make it through each day.

My daughter has also just started walking and blowing kisses. It is so cute.

Sorry that your class attendees didn't show. It is their loss. It is so hard when your child is hurt and they can't tell you the problem. I love when they snuggle and are cozying up to you.

Here is to a better day!

How rude of them to do that to you!! I know how much hard work it is to get things together to a coupon class. Talk about being inconsiderate!!

    Hopefully this makes you smile:
I have a 21 month old son. He is at that age of mimic galore. Apparently, I tell him 'oh well' a little more often than I thought I did. Since we are working on potty training (yeah, that's fun) I was trying to get him to go on the potty for a fruit snack. Just one or two. Nope. He could care less. Then it hit me. This kid loves cookies and b/c he gets them so rarely, it's a real treat for him. He saw that I had bought them, and said 'coo-cow?" (Bug talk for cookie ...I don't get it either). I turned to him and said 'if you want a cookie, you have to do pee-pee on the potty''. You could actually see the wheels turning in that little head of his as he thought about this. He asked for it again, and I repeated what I had said. He then shrugged his shoulders, turned away from me and as he's walking away says 'oh well.'

    And one more for you:
Bug and I love watching The Wonder Pets on NickJR. It's an adorable show with a very catchy song to it. I started singing it to him, and he turned to me saying 'no, no, no, no.........FOP. (stop), and puts his hand out as if directing traffic. I turned to him and said 'what? you don't want mommy to sing the song to you?" he said 'no, fop'. I said 'I can't sing it to you?' "No, uh huh''. At this point I was already laughing pretty hard, so I asked him "does mommy sing bad?" Little booger says "yes, fop!" OMG!!! Really??? I was in tears from laughing. (and yes, I do sing horribly, but to have my 21 month old tell me.......*sigh*)

Even if I don't win, I sure hope you at least got a good laugh out of it!!!
