"Kids Can Coupon Too!!"

Simple style train-1 time mail-out...

Let's help the kiddos in our lives learn (or continue learning) about trades and trains this summer! Here's a train you can do together with that special kid(dos) in your life:

Kids must participate (can be your own kids, nieces/nephews, etc, grandkids, neighbor kids etc)...
Each HCW member rider will send and receive ONLY ONE envie:
1) 30 q envie ---10 q's must be picked by the kid-whether from your stash or from an insert, IP's, or a "coupon" shopping trip (wouldn't it be fun to see what 10 q's they can "find" in a store with you?). Best suited for kids age 4+ and up. You can help them and explain the art of making a great envie-it would be hilarious to include a quick note as to why your "kid" chose the q's they did (ie colors, pictures, value, etc) Other 20 q's must be potluck but WL q matches are *strongly* encouraged.
2) A kid must have a part in the envie making process (decorate it, put a picture they made or note they wrote (or had your help writing) in it, etc etc)
3) There must be an item(s) in the envie for the "kid" you listed when you signed up (and your WL can be added to for this kid). Examples would be bandaids, stickers, McD's treat q, a personal letter or card, etc etc. Be creative-kids LOVE mail!
B/C of this aspect, when you sign up, you must list the name of the "kid" you are signing up to help you so when match-ups are made, the person sending to you will know the "kid" they are focusing on (please include gender if name is not telling ie Riley can be a boys or girls name;-). Age would be helpful too;-)

You must agree to fulfill all of the above requirements.

This ride is for traders who have a "kid" in their life that they WANT to work with on this envie...if you don't please catch the next train;-) Your i-trader must be at least 5.

You MUST AGREE to post when you mail AND when you receive AND a cute message about the clever kid envie you receive would be fun for us all;-) Kids say the darndest things, so I think this could be so cute and fun!

Please leave feedback for your match ups once rec'vd this is not a requirement but is just plain good trading etiquette;-)

You need a current updated wish list posted to ride. If your list is very short and specific, please don't join this train, unless you just love to make rockin' envies and really don't care what you get, in which case please denote that when you join...I can't imagine such a couponing life;-). If there's something you don't need multi's of, please note it as well. Please also plan on reading your pals WL closely and do not send what they say they can't use (ie they list $3/1 Huggies IP -this amount only- don't send $1.50 blinkies...same goes for if they say they don't drink coffee or have pets, don't send a sample of Folgers or Fitto a new chew toy). This part does not apply to the 10 "kids" added coupons...but please help guide them to make a nice envie with their 10 q addition.

This train is potluck which means you may not get 30 coupons from your WL in each envie. But, make it your goal to make a nice envie that will really flow with the idea of this train---especially the addition for the "kid".

No baby, no pet, no meds, no oddball products that very few members use like depends unless you have an exact wl match (you know the kind). Seriously, if it's not a common brand, or is unique to your area, don't send it, m'kay? If someone says they can use cat food frees, do not include regular cat food, unless it is an extra (as in over the 30 required).

Limit of 1 of each coupon unless it is an exact match to a wish list. If you have and exact wish list match, then duplicates are encouraged!!! Again, more than 1 of something is always OK if its "extra"-above and beyond the 25 minimum.

No coupon should be expiring for at least 2 weeks from the time your pal is RECEIVING their envie (this rule does apply to the kids addition of q's). So if you live in California and your pal is in Virginia, make sure you are giving your pal plenty of time to use those precious q's...(one caveat to this would be if your pal has asked for specific q's that are expiring on a certain date for a sale and they say, PLEASE send regardless as long as they'll get here by XX).

Printables are great to send if the member can use them-not cool if they say they have picky stores-and sad to say, but if you can't print in good quality ink, probably don't plan to send IP's as they often 'look' copied and suspicious...

Store specific coupons are only OK if they are on the WL.

BTFE's, Coke Codes, Pepsi Codes are all great to include if they are wish list items.

Rebates and TMF forms are GREAT to include. Watch state restrictions.

Watch your postage as this envie may very likely require more than one stamp to send*.

If for any reason, any of your envie is not received, you will be asked to re-send at the 2 week point.
Joining this train is your agreement to this rule.
Also an envie not posted as received at the 2 week point will be marked as received.
If you are going to be offline and aren't able to post that you've sent or rec'vd, please catch the next train-we'll do this again, I'm sure.

Sign-ups will be taken through 6.19.11 (Father's Day) and match-ups will be available by 6.21.11. Mail-outs are due by 6.28.11 (Tuesday).

Please remember, you must list the kid(s) you are planning working with when you sign up.

Example: I'll ride this one-looks fun! Owen (4) & Jake (7) are riding with me;-)

I'm still only sending/rec'ving one envie but Jake and Owen will be my "kid" helpers. I envision Owen picking coupons that are pretty and Jake picking ones that are for food he likes. This will be a fun opportunity to teach them more about what I'm doing when I make a train envie and they will love getting "mail in return".

My kids had such a blast the last couple of shopping trips hunting for coupons to send to Philip and pandamom2!! Today my 5 year old said we should "look for candy coupons in case his mom would let him buy junk", she was in a chocolaty mood

Clarence and I received our envie today from Urchin Grey and Bram. He loved everything in the envie, especially the dinosaur capsules. He didnt waste anytime putting them in water, they turned out to be different types of fish. He was running around the house showing everybody and making the fish swim in the air lol. Silly boy!!
