How about leftovers from dinners you have
Only 6 more weeks of school left for my girls. I'm looking for some new ideas for lunches to put in their lunchboxes instead of the usual sandwich or soup or macaroni salad in their thermos. They have no microwave in school so it has to be something that they can just open their lunchbox and eat. I can put an ice pack in the lunchbox to keep something cold. I am offering a 30 coupon potluck envie to a random poster that I will pick on Friday, May 20 at 8:00 EST. You can post as many times as you'd like, the more ideas you give me, the more chances you have for the envie.

How about leftovers from dinners you have
That would be the easiest thing to do, but no way to heat it up. I know some foods can be eaten cold but they don't want them cold. I even tried telling them I'll make them a chicken cutlet sandwich one day and they said you can't eat chicken cold. My kids are pickier than me when it comes to food.
when i was little, my mom made me ritz cracker sandwiches. you could try a variation of things like mini ham & cheese, pb, cheese & apple.
you could also make lettuce wraps. You would need a head of lettuce, some cheese, some form of protein (beans, meat, etc.) and whatever else you want. Then just put the toppings in a couple slices of lettuce and roll it up.
or do the same thing with bread and cut them into small slices so you have pinwheels.
How about chicken salad or tuna salad sandwich along with some frozen grapes?
Or a taco salad...complete with chips & salsa?
You could do a PB& Banana Roll up: Take a tortilla, spread on some peanut butter, a sliced banana, drizzle with honey and add some granola or other crunchy cereal. Roll it up like a burrito!
Not sure if your children like cold pizza, but you could make a home made pizza for dinner and then send them to school with the leftover cold pizza. I looovvvveeee cold pizza almost more than the pizza made that day.
make a chicken or ham salad with the veggies they like and some olives and cottege cheese and dressing.....
Chicken tacos....just roll up chicken strips, lettuce, cheese, ect. in a tortilla and add a side of salsa if the kids want to dip!
