Welcome to Contact us 6! Time to contact more companies and get more great coupons for yourself and to share with your buddies!!!

This time, we will be mailing out once a week for three weeks, and you will mail to two people each week. They will be the same people each week for the whole train so that if you run out of ideas for who you would like to contact for yourself, you can look at your buddy's wishlist and see who you might contact for them :)

Sign ups will go until 3/25/11 and we will be mailing out on Tuesdays - starting 3/29/11. So, your mail dates will be 3/29/11, 4/5/11, and 4/12/11. While the train IS potluck, we are looking for really good envies on this train, so please start with your buddy's wishlist and then go potluck only after you have tried your best to give them some good matches. A good envie goes both ways though, if you want a great envie, try to have a well rounded wishlist that contains a mix of inserts and non-inserts so that it's more likely that you will get a better envie.

You can start contacting and keeping a running total in your sign up thread as soon as you sign up if that's what you like to do - you dont have to record your contacts, however you MUST make them. That is the point of the train, so if you aren't wanting to contact companies, we hope to catch you on the next train :)


Who can join, and what are the train rules?

Anyone who is a member of the trader group and has an itrader rating of 5 or higher with no negatives or neutrals may join. If you have a repeated history of not posting on trains, please do not sign up.

You may ride up to 5 trains at a time @ HCW, so if you are already on 5, hope to catch you next time!

You must post when you mail and when you receive. This is a requirement to ride this train.

You do not need a wish list posted in the wish list forum to ride, just remember, if you don’t have a list, you will receive a potluck from your buddies, so if that’s okay with you, it’s okay with me! If your list is very short and specific, other train riders will have a harder time matching your list and you will probably receive a lot of pot luck q’s.

This train is potluck which means you may not get 25 coupons from your WL in each envie, however ~ we should use our buddy’s wishlist as a starting point and then add potluck after we have matched the best we could to their list, this way, people get more of what they need.


Of course the forum rules apply to all trains conducted on HCW, so please be sure you know the rules before you sign up.

Feedback is never required, but is always appreciated.




Rules/guidelines for envies:

25 coupons minimum in each of your envies. Extras are great, Please remember to check your postage. Some coupons are heavier than others. All coupons must have at least 2 weeks until exp from mail date unless they are extra or you OK’d it with the person you are sending to.

No baby, pet, meds, or oddball products that very few members use like depends unless you have an exact wl match. Example: If someone says they can use cat food frees, do not include regular cat food, unless it is an extra.

A junk envie will require an immediate remail.

Limit of 2 of each coupon unless it is an exact match to a wish list. If you have an exact wish list match, then duplicates are encouraged!!! Again, more than 2 of something is OK if its "extra"

You must write the train name and your user name somewhere on the envie.



Some other things that you can include IF your buddy says they can use them:

Printables, store specific, BTFE, CLFE, Pampers Points, Coke codes, Pepsi codes, MIR and TMF forms (check the state restrictions), stickers, other items that your buddy collects.

If you happen to mail out late for any reason, please PM me and post to the thread so that your buddy knows to watch for the envie. Life happens and it’s okay, communication is very helpful in the event of a late mail.

If for any reason, any of your envies are not received, you will be asked to re mail at the 2 week point. Joining this train is your agreement to this rule. Any envie that is not reported as “not received” by the two week point will be marked received.

Ok, I feel like an idiot for posting this but I'm confused. Do we have to only send out what we get from contacting companies? Do we send each other a list of who we contact with each batch of coupons? I'm lost. At least 1 of the trains I'm currently on should be over by the time this one starts so I'm thinking of signing up when one of my current ones is over, but just want to make sure I know what I'm doing with this one first.

Don't feel like an idiot, this train is rather different. It's just like a normal train, you just send envies the same way you would on any other train - however, while it is going on, we contact our favorite companies and request coupons.

Some people choose to keep a running list of who they have contacted in the thread somewhere, that is just for fun, so no - you dont have to send anything extra or anything to your buddy. Hope you are able to sign up, it would be nice to have you. Just PM me if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help :)
