Advice on Coupon Classes RAOK (Winners in OP)

I found out this week that I have MS and decided that I need to do something in my life that I enjoy. Working has been difficult for me for awhile but I suppose now I know why. I have decided that I wanted to start teaching others how to coupon and save their family money. However, I am at a complete loss as to where to start.

So here's the deal, I will be giving away a Non-Insert RAOK to a random person (picked by a number generator) on March 10th (Thursday). All you have to do is give me some advice on what YOU would want to learn about most if you went to a class, what your best advice would be, or ideas for information to put in hand-outs. I really want to be able to help people and feel that I am pretty good at couponing as I have taught others before but mostly one-on-one. If I receive more than 30 posts I will add an additional winner. You may post more than once, but with one post in between.

I think emphasizing saving and storing coupons to use when there is a sale is important. Many people try to use coupons the week they get them in the paper without a sale and thus do not realize much savings.

I think the next important thing would be showing how drug store sales and coupon match-ups work.

I'd want the stores in my area coupon policies and to know what it all means on the policy.

I teach classes and the biggest thing I find that people didn't know was that they could use a store AND a man. q at the same time!

I think people need to realize that they will need to get coupons from multiple sources, either by getting extras from family & friends, or finding them in the store, buying extra papers, etc.

I would include a spreadsheet, nothing fancy, but on a few items of what a good price is and then what a stockpile price is.

I would want to know what stores allow manufacturers and store coupons together and that some stores allow you two coupons for BOGO items

I think a great one would be learning what the numbers on the coupon bar code mean. Some start with a 5, some start with a 9 and some stores have their own codes for coupons and so on. I still have not learned this. What a great way to help others. Awesome job!

I personally feel that couponing starts in meal planning. Knowing what your family LOVES to eat for meals and to snack on are the items that will start their stockpile.
