Here is a cute snack idea! Lady Bug Crackers ~ Be Different...Act Normal
You could also make lady bug pizzas! Make the pizza crust/dough oval instead of round and use pepperoni to outline the wings and olives as the little back dots and eyes! Of course, pizza sauce is red anyway!

If your interested in Lady bug Decorations or invitation PM for info. Far to long to post here.
Ideas:
1. Ladybug mani/pedi: Enlist the help of some friends/other parents and have little footspas set up (can use any type of containers that their little feet will fit into) and let them soak with some fun foot soak and then lotion them up if they like. Then use red polish and paint on black dots. Can skip the foot spa part of it if you desire and/or just paint big toes/thumb nails. Can also get some cheap red/black flip flops for the girls to wear while their toes are drying.
2. Ladybug Bingo - Make BINGO cards using "L" "A" "D" "Y" "BUG" as the 5 spaces and play old-fashioned BINGO with fun prizes for the winner(s) - could tie in the mani/pedi part of it by making polish, nail files, lotion, etc. as prizes.
3. Buy red picture frames and have the girls paint black dots on them. Take a picture of all the girls at the beginning of the party, and if you are able, print the pictures at home on a photo printer during the party and then put the picture in the frames.
4. Cut bread into ovals and serve open-faced PB&J (peanut butter, then strawberry jam) and sprinkle with chocolate chips to look like ladybugs.

Make lady bug antennae for each child instead of birthday hats.
I just did a lady bug baby shower and had a blast!!! We bought plain red balloons and used a black magic marker to make the dots and then paired them with plain black balloons. It really set the decor!!!

Here is an Activity :)
Guess How Many: Fill the jar with black and red jelly beans (count them as you do). Label the jar "Birthday Bugs." Let the kids guess the number of "bugs" in the jar. Write down everyone's guesses. At the end of the ladybug party, the one with the closest number wins the jar
I love this website for ideas for in my classroom, and I noticed they had a big section on ladybug crafts and ideas for a birthday party, so I thought this would be perfect for you! One idea that I thought would be cute was getting rocks to paint a ladybug on, let the kids paint their very own ladybug. Here's the site so you can check it out. Ladybugs Crafts for Kids
