Have a box of little prizes in it, little things like stickers, crayon packs, thomas toys, playdoh, etc... let the "big boy" choose an item each time he gets it right.

We also had a "potty party" each time our little ones actually used the potty. There was much dancing, screaming, elation, singing, joy and praises. It felt a little ridiculous, but I think it really worked. The kids loved us celebrating their accomplishment!

Good luck! We are actually starting to potty train our third this week, I am soooooo looking forward to no diapers!!!

:) would love a chance at the panty Q!

no pull-ups invest in lots of plastic pants and underwear... and spare changes of clothese and don't give up!! he will not like the wet feeling..... take him to the bathroom every hr on hr and just sit him in there for a min or two... even if he doesn't go.... Also, have him go w/ adults every time they go..... not only teach the use of potty.... teaching the handwashing hygeine....!!! No water before bed time... our rule was 6pm.... made for dry nites... Get sheet plastic you can buy at menards/home depot on roll. we duct taped plastic to matresses,, and put sheets over... you get the same wet in bed feeling..... and it doesn't lst long... Preserverence is the key.... you think it isn't working and all the sudden it just will all click and happen!!!

I bought a sheet of temporary tattoos and every time they went to the potty they got a new tattoo. They LOVED the tattoos and were covered with them in a few days. But we just stayed home a few days and worked on it and it worked. They also got to go to the store and pick out a toy but they only got it after not having an accident for a certain number of days.

There's a cute CD with Bear in the Big Blue House that addresses pottying...and a few others.

I have NO advice specifically for boys because I don't have any boys. I prefer the free panty coupon but would like either.

My best potty training advice after having gone through it twice: Don't let it be a battle of wills. Don't fight. Big kids wear underwear and pee/poop in the potty. Little kids wear diapers and go in their diapers. I used incentives like stickers or M&Ms when in active potty training but phased those out pretty fast too. We didn't use pull ups much either. They were only for church or places we weren't the caregivers to clean up the messes.

But my biggest problem was I needed to always keep my cool no matter what happened. Otherwise... it became a battle of wills.

Going bare bottomed until they at least start to recognize the feeling and know what to do about it, was another thing we did. I think little boys like to run around naked even more than little girls do! Best wishes with the training!

Invest in Cheerios Lil boyz like to try to aim at them. Makes potty time fun and teaches them to keep it in the toilet

Also, When I was desperately seeking diaper relief, I took the potty chair and set it in our den(or common area) for 4 dayz st8 we used pullup/undies and encouraged him to go there. There were some wet mistakes at first but with encouragement he found it fun and we kept encouraging. We moved the potty chair to the bathroom on the 5th day, with no problems.
