LOL Terrortoys.....sounds like an exciting day.

I got ya beat though I think - dh will have radiation treatment that morning, followed by a nap or two during the day. Maybe we will at least watch a fun romantic comedy or other type movie that night.

To the OP - strawberries dipped in chocolate, glass of bubbly, and a good movie?

We have done things from fast food dates, movie dates, to nothing at all. Dh worked swing shifts for so long we missed many V-day's.

A fondue dinner would be fun and romantic.

My sweetie and I are going to barbeque.....it is only 20 degree weather in MN but we grill all year around. I went shopping today and bought some T-bone steaks, potatoes, a nice salad with all the fixins, and a nice bottle of our favorite wine...;) and we will probably watch a movie later in the night.

to make it a different valentines day, meet each other at a special place where you went to eat on your first date or where you ate before he proposed and "have a date". make it a night to remember always. have a great valentines day!!

Hubby is taking my 8 year old to the valentines dance at her school, on Saturday. Hubby lives in Arkansas...so actual Valentines day...we won't see him.

My boyfriend and I live on opposite sides of the country right now so Valentine's Day will consist of chatting and opening Valentine's Day presents over Skype.

To me, Valentine's Day isn't about how much money you spend, it's about celebrating you as a couple.

Take time to just be together as a couple and have fun. It can be simple things like holding hands and going for a walk ( even if it's in feet of snow like we have here) or playing a board game or cards. Cook together, dip chocolate covered strawberries together, or rub one another's feet. Watch your wedding video or look at wedding pics and remember you as a couple before kids.

Get out the craft supplies and make Valentine's for each other. It's so much more romantic than buying them.

Think about what you liked to do when you were dating and before you had kids to keep you busy. Find some of those things and do them. Just be together and focus on being a couple instead of Mom and Dad.

    Hope these ideas help.
