I too have to split any btfe I get between my 2 kids. The school has less than 350 children (preK-5th) and they use the money for supplies and books for the classrooms and library.

My daughter's school has kind caring teachers, but they certainly don't have everything they need. The kids have to share books as there are not enough for every child. The books are too old so they couldn't order more as they are out of print.

Teachers spend their own funds for classroom supplies.

We have a high number of kids who get free and reduced lunch in our district. Every child who wants it gets breakfast for free.

We do fundraisers for incentives for the kids- Such as selling peeler cards and book fairs.

We don't have parties in the 5 and 6th grade, but the kidswho make good choices are rewarded with a monthly assembly with some kind of presention.

They are having a special push for boxtops right now. The winning class gets to have a valentine's party. My daughter really wants to win as she was not able to attend her last year's elementary valentines party as she got sick 10 minutes before the party began. She was crushed as she had helped me plan the party and knowing this was the last party her class would have we made it extra fun.

I have been trading for BTFE and really think this would but her class over the top.

    Thanks for considering our school.

Our school loves the BTFE program! The program at our school is run by the librarian. She does all the collecting, clipping and submitting. All the money she raises from BTFE and the other label programs goes toward the library. Over the years, she has been able to almost remodel the library: new tables, all kinds of seating and tons of books! She also uses some of the funds to host a weekly ''Hot Cocoa and Reading'' Club. The kids can meet for an hour after school, get a warm cup of cocoa and find a nice spot to relax and read! It is amazing how the value of these label programs can really add up over time!
