Scavenger Hunt

Newbies with a itrader of at least 5 with plenty of QUALITY coupons to share are welcome! Please read all requirements. I know the list is long, but its to help ensure you know what is expected so all passengers have a great ride!!
Please make sure to read ALL info and requirements before joining.
After reading this WHOLE thread, post below to ride and then PM me with your full name and addy!!

How It Works:
This train will run for 4 weeks. You will mail out 1 envie to a different rider and 1 rider will mail to you. Coupons must have at least a 2 week expiration date from your mail date.
Each envie must include 25 quality coupons and items from the Scavenger Hunt List.
Scavenger hunt items could include actuals like small items you have laying around your house, pictures out of magazines, random internet items, recipes or anything else that I can think of. There will also be a point system to score the envies you receive.
I will post a list in Post #1 of items you will hunt for each week and include in your mailing.
***Please note that these envies will weigh more than normal. Be sure you have the correct postage on them.

Prize Train:
I will start a potluck envie with 10 coupons and 1 stamp and send it to the next person on the list. The rider who gets this envie will add 10 more coupons and 1 stamp then send it to the next person on the list. These coupons should not expire before March 31st. I want the winner to have plenty of time to use them.
The winner will be the rider who includes the most things from the scavenger hunt list.

Second Place: A New Coupon Organizer

How to Win you Ask?
-Each scavenger hunt item will be assigned a point value of either 10, 25 or 50. The person you send to will PM the combined amount to me (okcoupondiva)

-Also you will be asked to send a point value on the coupon content as well as follows...
50 points if 15 wish list q's and above
25 points for 6-14 wish list matches
10 points for 1 - 5 wish list matches
0 points for no matches

So the rider with the most points at the end is the winner.
The rider with the second highest will be the runner up:)

We will mail out on Tuesdays: January 25th, February 1st, 8th & 15th. Early mail out's are fine as soon as the match ups and scavenger hunt items are posted.


Train rules:
*By signing up for this train, you agree to all the rules of this train!*

You may ride up to 5 trains at a time @ HCW, so if you are already on 5, hope to catch you next time!

You must post when you mail and when you receive. This is a requirement to ride this train.

You need a wish list to ride. If your list is very short and specific, other train riders will have a harder time matching your list and you will probably receive a potluck of coupon.

This train is potluck which means you may not get 25 coupons from your wishlist in your envie, however ~ we should use our buddy’s wishlist as a starting point and then add potluck after we have matched the best we could to their list, this way, people get more of what they need.

Of course the forum rules apply to all trains conducted on HCW, so please be sure you know the rules before you sign up.

Feedback is never required, but is always appreciated.

Rules/guidelines for envies:
25 coupons minimum. Extras are great, Please remember to check your postage. Some coupons are heavier than others. All coupons must have at least 3 weeks until exp from mail date unless they are extra or you OK’d it with the person you are sending to.

No baby, pet, meds, or oddball products that very few members use like depends unless you have an exact wl match. Example: If someone says they can use cat food frees, do not include regular cat food, unless it is an extra.

A junk envie will require an immediate remail!

Limit of 1 of each coupon unless it is an exact match to a wish list. If you have an exact wish list match, then duplicates are encouraged!!! Again, more than 2 (if not an exact wish list match) of something is OK if its "extra"

You must write the train name and your user name somewhere on the envie.

Some other things that you can include IF your buddy says they can use them:

Printables, store specific, BTFE, CLFE, Pampers Points, Coke codes, Pepsi codes, MIR and TMF forms (check the state restrictions), stickers, other items that your buddy collects.

If you happen to mail out late for any reason, please PM me and post to the thread so that your buddy knows to watch for the envie. Life happens and it’s okay, communication is very helpful in the event of a late mail.

If for any reason, any of your envies are not received, you will be asked to re-mail at the 2 week point. Joining this train is your agreement to this rule. Any envie that is not reported as “not received” by the two week point will be marked received.

1) Wishlist matches: when we are counting, if someone included multiples of a coupon does that count for 1 or as many as they included? Example, 10 of the same coupon (whether a low or high wish) is it 1 or is it 10?

2) Scavenger Hunt items: can we include more than one of a particular item for more points? I guess that's why someone is sending out a box.

I really hope one of these babies doesn't go AWOL!

1) On the wish list matches....multiples count as long as they are an exact wish list match. So if you send 10 of the same it counts toward your total points for your envie.
2) Lets limit it to 1 of each scavenger hunt item.
