QUESTION *DELETE* Looking to join TNT Chain

I am highly interested in joing a coupon train to help get some feedback points. I do not have a large selection of coupons to trade. Should I try to grow my collection before joining a train? What is the easiest way to find and join a train (I do not see one in the TNT forum this evening)?

Also, a little off topic, but maybe someone can help: Is there any way to just get the inserts from the Sunday papers instead of buying the paper?

Please let me know your thoughts and tips. I have been spending my first few days on this forum just bouncing from topic to topic. There's almost TOO much info!

    Hi Tessalinn!

ok few things back at you. your subject says chain and your post says train :)

they are 2 very different things and we do both here.

The trains start at least once a week, so just keep watching. As long as you are able to meet the requirements of how many coupons to send without sending coupons excluded, usually baby pet and meds you are fine. If you can print, even better, just ask to be matched up to someone who needs lots of IP's if possible. I know I LOVE ip's on trains.

Trade chains have been run in TNT but the last few have had to be moved to the trade forum b/c there have not been enough participants. I will try to make it a point to start a new chain before the week is out. the chains are different from trains. the first person posts some things they need, a member who can fill some needs replies and does the same and so on, so you know ahead of time if you have what is needed to make a great envie.

as for inserts, YES, you trade for them, on here. you can dumpster dive in recycling bins, ask small local stores if you can take inserts on monday, contact local papers to see what they do with their inserts, contact local recycling centers to see if you can have access to their paper bins, ask friends, family, co workers and neighbors for their inserts, some have permission from nursing homes to take the extra sunday papers, some go to donut shops on sunday afternoons etc. there are tons of ways to get just inserts. for me, but biggest no fail way is to trade for what I need each week.

some of our members trade full inserts, others will trade with you for what you need, in multiples. i can spend between $10 and $30 a month depending on the month on coupons here from traders that take paypal, and it sounds like a lot, but boy does that save me a lot of money!
If I buy the good suday paper in my area it is $4 per week, so to just get 2 papers a week its $32. I spend less and get 10, 20, 30, 40 of some of the coupons I need which allows me to buy many of the sale items each week.

and you are right, there is so much info. just keep reading, make sure to subscribe to thread and forums so you can easily get back to them, and you can also bookmark favorite pages as well. that way you tailor the site to what you need the most.

hope this helps & others may have some tips too

I didn't realize when I posted that I was asking about two different things. At this point, I meant to say "train" in the subject line.

I also didn't realize that I could ask stores, recycling centers and the newspaper carrier for these inserts.

Your post was very helpful. Thank you, Kristen!
