Don't include me in the Raok - I;m living off the stockpile until Jan 01 11 but I could write a book on this topic.
1. Synovate surveys - really pays (I was sceptical) but I got a check the other day.
2. Find a woman professional who has kids and offer to clean, cook, babysit, wash her car, grocery shop, run errands whatever. For a lot of women who work full time they have more money than time and will appreciate the assistance. especiqally in the beginning of the school year when things are extra hectic - back to school nights? new carpools?
4. Can you take in laundry or ironing?
5. Go to someone well connected at your church and tell them about your goal and then ask them if they would recommend you to anyone who might be willing to pay for help and also to pray for you. I did this four years ago when I wanted an extravagant vacation and I ended up housesitting, dog sitting, babysitting, cleaning houses.
6. Offer to wait at someone house for the cable, or repair man and then for even more money - ask if you can clean while you are there??
7. Sell unused stuff on eBay. I have books on there right now. Offer someone else to sell their stuff and split the profits.
8. Ask any home sales peoples (Avon and Mary Kay, etc) if just this once they would consider paying you a percentage for selling for them? Then go to your, neighborhood, church and peddle peddle peddle.
9. This is crass - but sell water to people in hell? Think of any place where people might be in a long line - a kid did this at the line at our motor vehicle inspection station - he had a wagon with with cold waters and sodas and people were soooo happy to see him. Increase your creativity here - how about a bar at closing time?? You have to be careful about competition but there are places! I went to a Harley Biker event and Girl Scouts were selling cookies - people especially the men could not resist those cute little girls and they could not buy them fast enough!!
10. Do a one day Sat drop in day care - 5 kids from 12-4 - 20.00 per kid is $100.00- offer lunch, games, movies, likely have to be parents you know. I taught little girls crafts and I had soooooooo much fun, the girls loved it, their parents loved some free time (I live close to a horse racing track - two dads went there for a few hours - it was a TOTAL win!!!) My place is small too but 4 hours once a week isnt so bad.
11. Do you quilt, crochet, SEW (I just paid $27.00 dollars for sewing that I swear did not take 15 minutes) - put an ad on Craigslist!
12. OK sell unused stuff on Craigslist ( this is sooooooo hit or miss but free to try)
15. Do you use a credit card (and then pay it off every month?) that gives rewards? I do and it means I save an additional 1-3% off all my purchases! last year it paid for tires for the car.
