Hi everyone! It's that time of year again when your crazy train mods go even a little more crazy and conduct the biggest train of the year!!!

How the Sharing is Caring train works:

It works like a regular train, you are given match ups to mail to each week (we will be mailing to one person per week this year, on the next 3 Wednesdays.. the 12 or 13th (for first mail out), the 17th, and the 24th

In addition to the match ups, we also have a contest going on. We split into two teams. Team Kristy, and Team Melli, and we keep track of how many food items, clothing items, whole turkey dinners, books, other donated items, blood donated, etc. and give you points for them.

How points work:
1 point for each item donated...clothing, food etc
(so if you donate 5 cans of veggies, 2 fruit cans, 1 cranberry sauce, 5 Betty Crocker Warm delights......your total points would be 13)
25 points if you donate blood
25 points if you donate a whole turkey
5 points if you send a RAOK envie of q's to any other rider on the train (receiver must post they received)
5 points per hour of donated time

You must send Melli or me (depending on whose team you are on) the break down and totals so we can each keep track!!!

Any thing else that comes up we can determine...just PM Kristy or me.

At the end of the contest, the team that has the most points wins! The prize is an additional envie from a rider on the other team. We know that our riders do not do this for the prize, but for the gift of being able to give, the friendly competition just makes it even a little more fun!

The donation part of the contest begins as soon as sign ups are closed, and goes until Wednesday the 24th. The winning team is announced around the 27th, which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Kristy will then assign the match ups for the prize envies.

Who can ride?

any member of the trader group with an itrader rating of 5 or higher who has no negative or neutral feedback

Anyone who is on fewer than 5 trains in the regular train forum. Sorry traders in training, we will have to catch you next year!

Envie requirements

• Each envie must have 25 or more quality coupons inside - that expire no sooner than 2 weeks from the mailing date - no baby, pet, meds, etc. unless your match up can use them.
• Your envies must go out by the mailing date
• You must write your screen name, the train name, and your team name on your envie
• If the envie is not received by the two week point, you will be asked to remail.
• You do not have to have a wishlist to ride this train, just remember that if you do not have one, or you have a very hard to fill wishlist, that you will most likely receive potluck envies. If that's okay with you, then it's okay with us!

Can't wait. I was seriously considering giving blood this week anyway-we got one of those reminder calls cuz my SO has given blood before. I've never done it. I'm afraid! But maybe I'll do it for the team!
