I will give 3 people a potluck of inserts and non-inserts, whatever fits in a 1 oz envie.

Post below about some crazy event in your life that got resolved in some manner that you weren't expecting, but was still good and uplifting. Or just post. Each of my darlin' chillins will pick a lucky winner on Sunday the 3rd of October, in the evening.

My "baby" sister (she's 30, not a baby anymore!) announced her 2nd pregnancy last fall. The entire family was overjoyed and we all eagerly anticipated the milestones.
In February she discovered she was having a boy. Her 11 -now 12- year old son burst into tears in the ultrasound room out of sheer joy. He wanted a baby brother so badly, and there on the screen was obvious proof that he was getting just that.
Her pregnancy progressed normally, though she had trouble with morning sickness through her 2nd trimester. During her 3rd trimester, however, the morning sickness was incessant. She was on anti-nausea pills from her doctor and was blowing through can after can of Boost & Ensure every day just to try and get calories in her system. She was losing weight no matter what she tried, and as July hit she had only gained a total of 1lb from her pre-pregnancy weight. We were all scared. Her doctor had her in for weekly ultrasounds, tests, everything. The baby was healthy and at a normal weight and size, so they decided not to induce.

On July 15th, early in the morning, I got the text that my nephew was on the way. I waited by the phone anxiously as she was delivering at the hospital less than a mile away from me; I was ready to rush down and meet the new fella as soon as he entered the world.
I didn't get a call until later that evening. Baby was born weighing 7lb 4oz, however he had suffered meconium aspiration. Both of his tiny lungs had collapsed and he was in the NICU. They wouldn't even let my sister hold him.

I was beside myself - the whole family was - and I kept in contact with my mom that evening and all night. Neither of us slept. The NICU docs were making plans to put chest tubes in to correct the lung collapse.
At 2am he got an Xray and it showed that one of his lungs had corrected itself. They put the chest tube plans on hold to see what would happen. The next morning, another Xray showed both lungs were corrected and working normally, though he still wasn't breathing well. By the hour, to the doctors' and nurses' surprise, he kept getting better with very little intervention needed. He received IV antibiotics to prevent infection and had tiny little nose tubes for oxygen - and did nothing but grow stronger every day.

Seven days after he was born, the little guy came home.
Now he's 10 weeks old. After a difficult pregnancy and a terrifying week in the NICU, precious little Dominic is active, happy, and weighing in at a whopping 16lbs! And, believe me, there's nothing wrong with his lungs after his ordeal - when it's time to eat, he lets you know at top volume!

    Going to keep this short.

I was prego with twins spent alot of time in the hospital or at he OB in the hospital due to early labor. I had to take shots at home to keep from going into labor. I had other problems to go along with the early labor. I was told that one may have a heart problem and the other may have something wrong with its brain. I had already lost twins the first time I was ever prego at almost 6 months along. (I had a 11 and 12 year old boys at this time). I just had to keep telling myself that God was not going to let this happen to me again. At 7.5 months/ 10 weeks early I made another trip to the hospital one night for I was in labor but this time nothing they done stop the labor so they had to so a c-section (dont have one unless you HAVE to). They rushed the baby boy Alex out of the room without me seeing him or hearing him even cry, the nurse said he was not breathing very well, but the other baby a girl Julia I coudl hear he cry they showed her to me then took her off to the NEO fro care due to that she was so early. As I laid that on that bed I had started thing th worse then I told myself waht had got me to this point that GOD was not going to take them away from me again, so I trusted that he was going to see that the Dr.s took good care of them.. well he did for they are both fine now.. Alex was in the hospital for two week due to his lungs and heart that did not close off correct when took his first breath of air, Julia had to stay in there one week for she did not eat enough and had ot have a feeding tube for a few days until she learned how to suck enough to drink her milk on her own...alex was on the feeding tube also, he was coverd in tubes.

My having the twins was Gods will for the Dr's told me after my second son that I could not have any more babies due to scare tussie and other problems of having him but after 11 years I proved them wrong and myself LOL, not that I wantted to. I was happy with the two boys I had but I love my twins and would not anything for them.

Lost 32 pounds never gain a pound back the whole time I was prego. I had to also take those pills for morning sicknees but they did nothing for me.. even seeing food on TV made me sick.
I wish I felt that way now..

im not sure if this fits but this happened a few weeks ago..

Me and DD3 were at the post office and there was an elderly lady on her way out the door. I held the door open for her and DD3 asked her if she needed help, I walked behind her to help her to her car.. because she was using a hand walker I didnt want her to fall over..and DD3 grabs her hand and tells her I got you gramma..all the way to her car. DD3 opened her door and said to her there ya go. good morning. This wa not her gramma she calls everyone gramma not sure why..The elder lady smiled at her and then told me I was truly blessed with such a wonderful little girl and thanks my DD3 for all her help.. Its a great expierance to have your kids help others it made me feel good and proud that my daughter would do just a very generous deed without me asking. just thought i would share.

I live in KY and my family lives in AZ. I have two nieces that I've only seen three times. They are 3 1/2 and two. I called my Mom a couple of weeks ago, and she answered and said "Just a minute" and then I heard her in the background saying "Say I to Auntie Sherri" so I knew it was one of my nieces. They didn't say much and then all of a sudden the questions started! "What are you doing" and my favorite "I love you!" Come to find out I talked to both my neices, but only the older one talked back! I was sooo happy that she seemed to remember me and talked to me!!! I miss them! Thanks for the chance.

Well, my cousin through marriage really messed up his life, went to prison. We prayed for him for a long time and just a couple months ago he confessed that he was guilty and wanted to give his heart to God. He is now a Christian, witnessing to other inmates and devouring religious books and the Bible. Sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom.
