Contact Us Part Deux ~ Week 2 match ups are up! There was a lot of interest in having a part two to this train, so here we go!!!
When you are filling a train envie, do you wish that you had more non-inserts to share? So you know how to write emails to companies to request coupons, but stop after a day or two and wish you had a train load of people to keep you accountable?
If you answered yes to either (or both) of those questions, then this is the train for you! Step right on up and claim your ticket and get ready for some fun and a ton of mail!!!
This train will be two weeks long.
I will take as many riders that sign up by Thursday, October 29th at 11:59 PM Central time.
Anyone who is a member of the trader group with an i trader score of 5 or higher is welcome to join. Newbies are absolutely welcome, just please PM me any questions right away as they come to you so that we can get you on the tracks on time!
Each week you will mail to 2 people. Those 2 people will change each week.
Also, as a requirement of riding this train, you MUST contact AT LEAST one company per day (feel free to write to a few more!) and send a compliment or request coupons. Then you must post to the thread who you wrote to each day. (We will have a separate thread for checking in on our contacts, that will be up later) If you need ideas of who to write to, you can use the database that HCW has compiled for us. HERE If you want more ideas, just walk over to your pantry and pick out your favorite products and search out their websites! My personal goal is to contact all of the nearly 275 companies that I have in my personal list over the coarse of the two weeks!
You may start contacting companies as soon as you sign up for the train, just remember to write them down so you can share with us once the train begins. The "contact us" requirement begins as soon as sign ups are complete. If you do not wish to participate in that part of the train, please do not sign up, as we are supposed to be encouragingeach other to keep going - so everyone should be playing along.
You may ride up to 3 trains at a time at HCW, so if you are already on 3, hope to catch you next time!
Envies:
Remember to write "contact us part deux" choo choo, and your member name somewhere on the envie
Each envie should have 25 or more coupons in them expiring 2-3 weeks from the day you mail. You should use your match up's wishlist as a starting point and then try to fill the envie with coupons that you think they might like from there.
Each envie must contain 3 non inserts (as part of the 25 total q's) Non inserts can be: peelies, hang tags, MIR, blinkies, home mailers, actuals, BTFE if needed, CLFE if needed, etc - there are loads of possiblities! Also, you will probably be receiving home mailers of your own soon, and there are likely going to be some that you will want to pass along!
Sending more than 25 q's is totally fine, just be sure to check your postage as all coupons weigh different amounts.
No junk is allowed on this ride. Junk would be q's that very few people need such as depends and joint juice.
Baby, pet, and meds should not be sent unless you first check with your match up, or it is an EXACT match on their wishlist.
Early mail out is fine for this train, just please remember to post.
Remember to post when you have mailed and when you have received.
Remember to post each day which companies you contacted. (and get some ideas from our fellow train riders for who to contact tomorrow!!)
If your envie is not received by the two week point, you will be asked to remail.

becca, I'm so sorry that you missed the sign ups. I had thought about PMing everyone from the last train, but it's been nuts around here!
Everyone can start their "contacting" now. Just go ahead and post to THIS thread instead of me making a new one, I will just read through every post to do my updates, no big deal :)

Chitownmelli- I plan on doing more today. Do you want me to update this post, or make a new post for every time I contact a company today? (I'm sure you want new posts for each day, but within a day do you want one post or multiple if we contact more than one?)
Re: Contact Us Part Deux ~ taking riders until October 29th @ 11:59 PM If you guys want to make one post and keep editing it, that is fine - we had multiple methods going on the last train, and no one way worked for everyone, so whatever works for you is what I would like you to do :) So even if you make a new post every time you contact a few people, that would be okay too, I really don't mind reading through all of them to do updates :)
