Do we need to log exactly which food items we donated or can we just give a total? I have sooooo may things and some are just one of each item that I would rather not type them all up.

I am started a food and HBA drive at my office. Dontations will go to the Department of Aging for their Thanksiving boxes for the elderly citizens in our community. I have started the box of donations by giving 13 items - 5 rice, 3 tuna, 2pk of toothbrushes, canned tomatoes, oatmeal, canned green beans, and a box of pasta.

Donated 6 cans of tuna to the local food bank.
lots of clothes too, just didnt count it.

Lvoskan, a total and type is fine (example 35 food, 12 HBA, 5 clothing) that's how we log it in our database, so that would work fine for us :) Thanks for asking.

For those who are sharing specifically what was donated, that is fine too, if that is what you want to do, I know I really enjoy hearing about the items that you have donated, so I am sure others do too :)

So far what everyone has done, and how they have reported is great - as long as we have a way to categorize the donations, we are quite happy :)

Donated 2 large garbage bags of clothes to the church thrift store. Total count was 68 pieces. That was only my husbands stuff, wait till I get to mine. :)
