I donated 10 more items today to my food drive. The box is almost full!

I also donated appromixately 300 can tabs and 200 bottle tops to a co-worker who's daughter is collecting for the Cancer Society and the Ronald McDonald House. Not sure if that counts for anything or not (obviously not 1 pt per item)?

My mom mentioned wanting to volunteer yesterday so I'm going to try to find something we can do together.

Awesome job!! I counted 1 pt per 5 on the tabs and bottle tops!! So 100 points for your 500:)

DH was so proud of himself...he remembered to tell me this evening that he donated 10 power bars at work for care packages that are going to soldiers overseas.

(last time he took a bunch of stuff to goodwill without telling me exactly what first and I got grumpy!!

Forget the fact it is helping people right...all about those points

)

Between us...I'm shocked he'd part with the things...he eats like 2-4 a day. I wish I could get coupons for them...but Power Bar doesn't make them (written company and begged several times...nada!!)

I volunteered tonight at a Halloween party for low income children for 4 hours. I also got permission to set up a food drive at the fire station (I am really dying to go back to firefighting so I hang out with DH there alot...lol) so I worked on that tonight for an hour (making flyers, decorating a box...). I also started the box off with 5 cans of veggies! Whew...I am tired lol.
