The Wizard of Oz Train

In honor of The Wizard of Oz’s 70th anniversary I invite you aboard a fun filled train ride down the yellow brick road.

If you are like me, I have loved the Wizard of Oz ever since I was a little girl. I still watch it every year when it comes on t.v. The wonderful characters, music, and beautiful colors bring back fond memories for me.

You will have a chance to be your favorite character: Dorothy, Toto , Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion , The Wizard ( I will be the Wizard), Glenda the Good Witch, Auntie Em, Uncle Henry, a Munchkin, a Flying Monkey , and even the Wicked Witch of the West . First come- first served.

I will be taking 11 other riders with me to the Emerald City.

This train will run for 2 weeks.
We will mail 1 assigned envie each week.
And we will mail 1 “ruby slipper” envie each week.
Each envie will contain 30 coupons.
Mail dates are: Week #1 Friday Oct 9 and Week #2 Friday Oct 16

The “ruby slipper” envie is a surprise envie. You get to decide who you send this envie to. You can pick this person by how much you have from their wishlist, if they are your favorite character, or just eeny meeny miny mo. Your choice! Please pick a different character each week to send to.

This means that each character will mail a total of 4 envies. You will receive in return at least 2 envies and possibly many more. The more you have on your wishlist the better your chances of getting a lot of surprise envies sent your way.

One more thing! After all the envies have been received you will rate them…even your surprise envies. 10 will be your best envie, 9 your second best, 8 your third, and so on. You will post this in the thread with the character name who sent to you and the rating.

After everyone has rated at the end of the train, the person with the highest rating will receive from me, The Great and Powerful Wizard, a flat rate box full of stockpile items!!!
(In place of a heart, brain, or courage….sorry I’m not that powerful.)

In the case of a tie or multiple ties, I will ask a Wizard of Oz trivia question and whoever answers correctly first will be declared the winner.

I might also do some fun raoks along the walk down the yellow brick road. You never know what surprises may be right around the corner!

Whew! Now for the fine print:

• You must have an updated wishlist. If you have both database and another wishlist please send me the link to both.
  
  2. You must have an itrader rating of 5 or more- with no negative feedbacks!
  
  3. Please make sure all coupons expire no earlier than 2 weeks from the mailing date.
  
  4. 30 minimum coupons to each envie with no “junk”- meaning no baby, pets, meds, booze or other oddball products unless it is a wishlist item
  
  5. Please write your HCW username and “The Wizard of Oz Train” on all envies you send so members can keep track if they are on multiple trains
  
  6. No more than 2 of a coupon unless it is an exact match to a wishlist item – for example if the wishlist says $1/1 Kelloggs cereal, don’t send three $1/3 Kelloggs cereal
  
  7. You MUST post when you mail and when you receive an envie- Not posting may cause you to become removed from the train
  
  8. This is very important: The “ruby slipper” surprise envies are not an option for this train. You must pick a different person to send to each week in addition to your assigned envie. You must pm me the name of the person you are sending to but do not post it in the thread. You can however put your character name on the envie.
  
  9. You must be able to send out 120 quality coupons. If you want to send non-wishlist duplicates or those with short expirations, go ahead but just remember to watch your postage.
  
  10. IP’s, BTFE’s, Coke codes, Pampers Points, Stickers, store specific coupons, etc. are great to send if the member can use them! If you send rebates or TMF forms just make sure they can be used in the member’s state. Watch your postage for heavier envies!
  
  11. PLEASE leave feedback for your fellow riders!!!
  
  12. If an emergency happens and you have to mail out late – please pm me right away and post in the thread when it goes out
  
  13. This train is potluck…but please try to follow wishlists as much as possible. However, keep in mind depending on what the other rider has you may get a lot or hardly any at all from your list.

If you want a ticket, please post here with what character you would like to be, first come first served, and then pm me with your full name and mailing address. Also include a link to your wishlist.

We are all approved and will be heading on our way down the yellow brick road soon.
I have sent out an addy list and wishlists are in original post. If there are any mistakes with the addy's let me know asap.
Just as a note, you can mail early, but there are some of us who need to update our wishlists so please at least wait until tomorrow to mail. First mail out date is Friday Oct 9.

Update: Names will turn blue when mailed and purple when received.
