So I'm posting in the trading section because I know all of our traders will see it this way. It's a little out of the norm, but then, so is this request.
I got an email this weekend from one of our traders, VALLEY411. First off, if you have a trade going with her, know that it's going to possibly be on hold for a bit, and with valid reason.
Michele and her family were on the way to a sporting event for one of their kids and had a tire blowout on the freeway. Their car rolled over 3 times. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The pictures she emailed me were pretty terrible. Having been there and done that, I can tell you, nothing is scarier than hanging upside down on the side of the road.
And while the picture of the crumpled car was pretty horrific, I think I was even more horrified by the image of her coupons blowing all over the freeway
She lost pretty much everything in her binder, plus her CVS cards and a ton of stockpile stuff they'd actually had packed for the trip. They were able to get a rental car and continue on, but they lost a lot.
She asked if it would be ok to ask about helping her put her organizer back together, and I immediately said we'd be willing to pitch in and help.
I'm hoping she'll hop in and post specific needs. I do know that she mentioned a few things:
Well. of course I brought my binder and all the coupons that I never leave home without (just in case). I had just completed lots of trades too for $2 off meat wyb kraft so we could make hamburgers & hotdogs for the team.
Also Missing:
$1 Nestle water q's (free at Walmart)
powerade
gatorade
$/1 Lays
$/1 soda
But I imagine at this point, she's going to need every type of coupon to fill her back up.
So, I'm organizing a RAOK for her and I'm hoping you'll help me in getting her back on her feet with couponing. I know how daunting dealing with the insurance and everything else is going to be since the car is a total loss. But if we can make one thing easier for her, then I think that would be wonderful.
