Default Question about lists (have, wish, keep)

When you post the thread for your have list and wish list...you don't have to type it all out, do you? How do you get your list into a thread? I've finished my have list, and will work on my wish list here and there.

Also, how do you update the thread?

    Thanks!
I never need coupons for cleaning supplies, medicines, or kid/baby stuff. I CAN use pet coupons (dog and cat).

You don't have to type up your lists. There is a feature on each list that puts your list on the appropriate board.

Go to your list (wishlist or havelist) after you have selected your coupons. On the screen on the left side is a button that says Update Post. Click it. A box will appear that says Post to Forum. You can then choose how you want your list to appear - see drop box that says category. You can type up an introduction to your list (see my lists for an example) in the Introduction box.
Then click Submit. A new window will open with your list. It will automatically be in the appropriate board.

You will have to separately do the steps to make a link in your signature. Just ask if you need to know how to do that.

Thank you so much! Those lists sure do look intimidating.

I see there is a forum for trading expired coupons. Is that a reason to leave the expired coupons in our havelist, or do we delete the expired coupons from our havelist? When someone looks at my coupons for trade they are in the way, but if I want to trade expireds, how will they know what I have, if I delete them? I am confused...:shrug7:

It is entirely up to you. I usually keep the most recent ones that expired on there for a little bit and then delete them to keep my list cleaner. But I also post in the expireds forum that I have coupons to trade and list out some of the hotter ones. You can't post your entire "haves" in the expired trades forum but you can say I have these to trade and list out some of the better ones and then indicate to PM you for more.

How do you link your lists to your signature? I've seen people post a reply and in the signature, you can click on their HL or WL. I can't figure it out.

I have a couple of questions. First, should I list all the coupons I have in my have list or just the ones I think others will want. Also, I am finding many of the coupons I have are not in the database and I cannot add them because I do not know the date of the insert that they appeared in. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! Well first, you can list as little or as much as you want. Some people list every Q they have. Others list only the "hot" ones. Some don't even have a list at all, though I do believe that having a list benefits you and the people you are trading with, and in the long run will generate more trades for you...

If it is an insert coupon, it is most surely in the database. Most of them are entered pretty quickly on Sunday if not before. You may just be trying to search too narrowly.

Have you tried searching for just the item without the date? That should bring up all of the coupons for that product and you can see if you can find the one you want. Or you can go even broader... like if your coupon is for Cottonelle wipes, just search Cottonelle and you will get any Q for any Cottonelle product...
