OK...it's been one of those weeks!!

One of my husband's best friends passed away over the weekend. He's been sick for many, many years, but the stomach cancer that he was diagnosed with in May, took him faster than we ever thought. 61 is too young!

There have been so many other things this week (ranging from little things, to major things), that are just snowballing! I feel like screaming, but I know it won't help!

But two things made me smile today:

1. HCW mail in my mailbox!!! Thanks Kristen C, Meggers and AJSN!!!

2. This afternoon....my grandkids are coming to visit. This will make me smile!! They have a way of making me forget the negative things!

So...tell me what made you smile today. And if it's "one of those days" for you too...think hard!! There has to be something...even if it's tiny!!

I'll pick a winner sometime Thursday morning...and I'll send a nice envie of Non-inserts!!!

Ahhh I had one of those days Monday it was awful. Pizza made it better :)

Today my BF sent me this in my email and it gave me a smile

Cup of Tea .

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me.

I was maybe 2 1/2 years old. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as
a gift and it was one of my favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I
brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several
cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.

My Dad made her wait20in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of
tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' My Mom waited, and sure
enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she
watches him drink it up.

Then she says, (as only a mother would know.. :)

'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet?

Well as some of you know I have had a crappy couple weeks. I was sick week before last, got pneumonia. Then last Tues night my beloved doggie, Nemo, died after falling down the stairs. I am still in a lot of grief.
Anyway, today my 2 yr old grandson is with me, and he definitely makes me smile. He is so sweet, he just comes over and kisses me all the time, just out of the blue. He can be playing with his trains and just stop, come over, and kiss me.
He makes me smile.

I have been stressing about $. Due to the ice storm and dh not able to work and then off very early yesterday but what made it all better was my 3 yr old coming up & hugging & kissing me for no reason & telling me he loved me.

Sorry everyone is having a bad day. Here is to a lot better of a week

I was having one of those days too- actually one of those weeks. My friend and I had some volunteer work to do together and she took one look at me and said "you need a coffee and a biscotti." We sat and sipped and chatted, and I felt much better.

You know what? Having a friend that *could tell* that I was getting frazzled is what made me smile. I am very thankful for knowing her.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your husband's friend. 61 is too young.

We have two highschool seniors in the house. Cap and gowns are being ordered. College acceptance letters have begun to come in. Trips have begun to talk to the Air Force recruiter.... All those teenage years and I wanted the time to rush rush rush.... It was soooo hard.... And then it comes, its here, and it just a horrible feeling for me....

But the smile....

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

My stepson called today to tell us that he and his wife are going to have a baby. This the first grandchild in the family... OHHH just when I thought I was going to be at a loss with the little ones gone..... YEAH!!!!

My beautiful 16 month old daughter gave me a real tight hug this morning, followed by kisses...that made me smile...I love her hugs and kisses.

Well the hemotologist told me to day I don't have cancer!

I have been having some trouble with my counts since April he has taken blood every month and today everything is NORMAL!!!!! He said I probably had an infection that antibiotics has taken care of (I told him its prayers that have taken care of it). Anyway we are all celebrating.

Something that made me smile today is that my boss bought us in the office pizza for lunch today. Yay my favorite!!! :)
