It's A NEW YEAR ~ NEWBIES Train
Thanks to HCW, I have saved lots of money the past 12 months. To celebrate my 1 year anniversary January 6, I am conducting this train for NEWBIES.
HOP ON BOARD
One Week. 2 Assigned envies.
25 coupons each. iTrader rating of 5 to 25.
Riders will be accepted until 12/31.
Rider assignments will be posted 1/2.
Envies must be mailed by 1/6.
Welcome to "It's A NEW YEAR" Newbie Train!
This is a one week, one mailing train.
If you’ve thought about joining a train but have been a little intimidated by them, this is a good chance to hop on board a nice, simple train and see what all the fuss is about!
After reading this WHOLE LONG THREAD and making sure you understand all the rules, post a reply below to let me know you want to claim a ticket.
Then you must ALSO send me a PM with the following:
* “It's A NEW YEAR" in the title
* your full name
* your mailing address
* a link to your wishlist
* the emoticon shown at the bottom of this post indicating you read it all ~ you will not receive a ticket to ride this train without it.
*Please note: you can only ride up to three trains (including conducting) at a time at HCW. This probably doesn’t apply to most of the riders on this train, but I need to say it anyway: If you are already on three trains, don’t sign up. You can catch the next one!
*This train has one mailing day: Tuesday, January 6
*I will be taking an unlimited number of riders who qualify to ride. Riders must request a ticket by 12/31.
*On January 2 Rider assignments will be listed at the bottom of this post.
*Between January 2 and January 6, you will mail out two envies to the two riders you are assigned on January 2. You will receive two envies in return from two other riders.
*On January 1, I will send out a list via PM with every rider’s mailing info and wishlist links.
In order to take this ride:
*You must be a member of the Trader group on HCW and have an iTrader rating of between 5 and 25 with NO negative ratings. (Sorry, those with under 5 do not qualify to ride trains, and those of you with feedback ratings over 25, keep an eye out for one of my other trains, especially for you).
*You must be able to mail envies on the mailing date given.
*You must be able to send out 50 quality coupons. That's 25 coupons inside each of your two envies.
*Coupons must have an expiration date of 1/20/09 or later.
*You must have a posted, updated wishlist to ride.
When you take a ticket, you are agreeing to:
*…mail the two envies as described above.
*…write your user name, “It's A NEW YEAR” on the outside of each envie you send.
*…post promptly in this thread when you send and when you receive envies.
*… remail your envie if it has not been received at the two week point.
Joining this train means you agree to this rule. Please remember, that when you sign up to join a train, not only are you agreeing to the specific guidelines of that train but the train rules as posted HERE in general. Failing to follow the rules of the trains or not sending an envelope falls under a bad trade. You can be reported for this and be listed as a bad trader.
Additional fine print:
*No baby, no pet, no meds, no booze and no oddball products that very few members use unless you have an exact wishlist match. In other words, no junk!
*Limit of one copy of each coupon unless it is an exact match to a wishlist. An EXACT match is exactly that… if I say on my wishlist 75/1 Superpretzels, 50/2 is NOT an exact match. If you have and exact wishlist match, then duplicates are encouraged!
*You can always send more than 25. If you want to include more than one of a certain coupon, or some with a short expiration date, that is OK, but it has to be above the 25 coupon minimum. And if you do send extras, watch your postage!
*Printables, store-specific coupons, BTFE, Campbell’s Labels, Coke Codes, Pepsi Codes, etc., are great to send if the member can use them but it has to be above the 25coupon minimum.
*Rebates and TMF forms are GREAT to include (just be sure they can be used in the state the receiver is in!)but it has to be above the 25 coupon minimum.
*If for any reason you mail out late (life happens), post in the thread when it went out so your receiving rider can watch for it.
*Please leave feedback for fellow riders who send to you!
*Please also note that this is a potluck train! That means that while it is nice to try to match the wish lists of your assigned recipients, do not feel that every coupon has to come from their wish list. Just do the best you can. As long as you adhere to the other rules about expiration dates, minimum number of coupons and mailing on the mailing dates, you should be fine.
*You can always PM the member directly if you have questions about what they can or cannot use.
*And finally, if you have questions about the progress of this train or whether a trader sent you an envie that does not meet the requirements for this train, you can always contact me via PM.
WHEW! OK, if you made it through all that and would like to ride, send me that PM with this smiley
and post below!
Rider List match-ups moved to post #2.
