When you were a child, what was the present you got that you thought nothing would ever top? This is only for children's presents. Was it a dollhouse or a Skipper swingaround gym? :ccane2: Was it an airplane model or a ring from your daddy? :jujubee: Was it a bike or a sled? Was it a coloring book and that great big box that had 64 crayons and a sharpener built right in? :smile83: Was it that cool silly putty or the book of magic? Was it a Raggedy Ann doll or the doll that said "mama" everytime you picked her up? Was it a puppy or a kitten or a gerbil :hamster2: or a fish? Maybe is was a spirograph or a lite brite or chinese checkers or Clue. Sit back and think about it.

Oh it was my Tiffany doll because she could have blonde hair or black hair. I love that doll and I still have her today stored in my closet. I say her in the store and wanted it soo bad that I told my mom we had to go see Santa right away so that I could tell him what I wanted.

I would have to say a doll that my Grandma made. I loved that doll so much I took it with me everywhere. It had red hair that matched mine and the fabric of the dress was blue with little french horns, bows and flowers. My Grandma even made me a little apron to match it out of the same fabric.

I got a real teacher's grade book. I wanted to be a teacher so badly (and now am) that I wanted a real grade book like my teachers had. I had of course the chalkboard and chalk (lots of vacuuming happened underneath that chalkboard!) and books to read and a desk, stapler, scissors, and a time out chair! ha ha
But the grade book topped all of my classes. I used that thing until it was worn out. I kept track of grades, absences, notes from home, etc.. I laugh now when I think about it. But my career path was so evident evne then when I was 10 yrs old.

My bestest ever present was a Humpty Dumpty stuffed doll that I got when I was 3.
I am 48 and I still remember how much I loved that silly thing.
It was just a simple egg shaped pillow with legs and arms.
But to me it was my Mother goose story come to life.
I had him until I had my own kids, then made the fatal error of giving him to my kids.
No more Humpty Dumpty after that!!

LOL!
All the kings horses and all the kings men, couldn't put Humpty back together again!

The best present I ever got was when I was 6 I got a pink big wheel. I loved that thing so much I rode it everywhere!!!!
