CHECK Ned Flanders' Okely Dokely Locally: ALL DONE

*~* All updates will be at the bottom of this post *~*

Hiedily-ho, neighborinos! Welcome to Flanders country!

    Weldiddly-elcome!

    Accepting 5 riders for a regular-style train.

I will start the train. You will receive an envelope and will mail it to the next rider on the list. Nothing fancy about it: rider 1 mails to 2, who then forwards to 3, so on & so forth. It's just one lil' ol' envelope put-put-putting from rider to rider.

I will PM ONE rider list with every rider's mailing info and wishlist links. You will need this list to get the address and wishlist of the person you are mailing to, so don't delete it. I will include in the envelope a small list of the rider order, but it will just have the user IDs since I don't want it adding too much to the weight.

The train will be tracked bottom of this post. Assuming about 1 week per rider, I expect this train will make a full round within 6 weeks. If you're rider #4, it's reasonable to expect you'll receive it on or before week 4.

Ned's putting us on the train to Squaresville

    Please PM interest with address.

Riders must have 50 unique positive feedback comments.

I will mail the train to the first rider by Monday, 9/29/2008.

I expect this train should take no more than one or two stamps: $.42 for 1oz or a $.58 stamp for 2oz. Although everyone loves a big, fat envelope, it can be a burden for some riders who feel obligated to forward the whole thing & need to run to the PO & pay more OOP as a result. So please, don't mail out an envelope that requires a lot of postage--the stamps we have at home should be adequate to mail this train.

    Absitively-posilutely!

Contents: 35 coupons. 15 must be non-inserts. One must be for a Free item.

Coupons must expire 21 days (3 weeks) or later as of postmark date for any envelopes you send. Sorry about the omission on this one (& thanks for giving it the OK)--I had it in the original draft but seem to have edited it out.

No IPs, no more than 2 duplicate coupons, no more than 2 MIR forms can go towards those requirements.

Every day is Tithe Day at the Flanders' home, so one Free item coupon must be in the envelope at all times (you take it, you replace it). The Free item coupon must be a manufacturer's coupon & must be within the requirements of the train itself (no IPs, no restaurant, no McDonald's Halloween coupons, etc.). The coupon must say "Free." b1g1, tmf, MIR, or wyb coupons won't count; the item must be completely Free when the coupon's redeemed at the point of purchase.

Each rider is responsible for ensuring that each and every envelope s/he mails contains the 35 total coupon minimum requirements (15 non-inserts, max 2 identical, min expirations, etc.). Each rider is responsible for cleaning out coupons that do not meet the train's requirements before forwarding to the next rider: you cannot pass along an envelope that doesn't meet the requirements and exclusions as listed.

    A word on MIR forms: no more than two MIR forms are allowed, and no insert or IP MIR forms will be permitted since most riders will have access to those forms. All included MIR forms must be good in: MA, NJ, NY, TN {& new rider's state}

If so inclined, try include coupons on your assigned recipient's ISO; this is merely a courtesy suggestion & not a requirement, but if everyone does this, it will be a very pleasant ride.

It might be easiest just to fill the envelope with the required minimum coupons first & add extras (if you choose to include them) afterwards. And don't forget: if you add extras, please make sure you've got sufficient postage to mail them.

    No expireds (period.)
    No IPs
    No pet stuff
    No store-specific
    No oddball items
No regional products (Taylor Ham, Borden milk, etc.)
    No supplements
    No vitamins
    No restaurant
    No adult diapers & similar
    No alcohol
    No tobacco products

In short, no junk. Because this is a regular train, if you send a coupon on the above list to the next rider because it's on an ISO, but s/he no longer needs it & leaves it in the envelope, well, it's just garbage to the next person. Definitely no expireds at all.

    Heckaroonie!

Post to the thread when you receive & when you mail. Please mark each envelope with your user name, HCW, & the train name (or abbreviated version thereof).

If an envelope you mail has not been received by the next rider within 10 days of mailing, you will be expected to replace that envelope. If the train breaks down because you are waiting for an envelope, you might be asked to jump start the train by mailing out a replacement yourself. If that occurs, you would be able to keep the late or replacement envelope when it arrives.

I'm keeping the rider count low to ensure everyone can complete the ride (more riders = more weeks). Please do not sign up if you cannot commit to forwarding the envelope within 1-2 days of receipt.

After the envelope makes a complete circuit by returning to me, I will check to see if everyone wants to continue to ride. I would love to see this just be on a regular, continuous loop, just moseying along without much prompting. But I understand that the 3 train limit might be a factor. We'll just take it round by round to start.

    Indeedily-doodily!

Posting to the thread when mailing & receiving is a MUST. Because everyone is limited to 3 trains only, I consider it to be inconsiderate to hold someone back from participating in other trains because no one knows if you ever received an envelope. If you are going to be away, please PM me so I can note that. We're all adults here, so please be a responsible & thoughtful rider. Riders not posting they've received items is a pet peeve of mine, so trust me that it is a big deal.

If you are having problems with expiration dates, coupon counts, or other envelope content issues, please let me know as soon as possible. I can't fix what I don't know about. Because this is a regular train, these kind of seemingly minor issues aren't at all minor and need to be addressed immediately.

Please leave feedback for the rider mailing to you. Even though it's in train-form, each envelope is still considered a trade.

    Ding-dong Diddly!

I will post the rider list here. Just so we can track where it's supposed to be, a rider's name will be in red when the train has stopped at their "station" and blue when it is forwarded.

Rider addresses, etc. have been sent. Wishlists are linked in that PM, not below to allow me to track send/receive here. PLMK if you don't receive PM or if your address needs correction. TY!

Great ride everyone! I sent out new rider address list. PLMK if you don't receive it.

And just now that the postman has come & gone I realized that I didn't include a rider list--meant to write one up this a.m. & instead, just sealed & stamped the envelope! Sorry everyone! We'll blame it on the early morning school bus rush.
