Exchange Dr. Brown or Avent Bottle for new BPA FREE Bottles

Newbie here, please be nice, I searched and didnt see this posted yet?

If you own either Avent or Dr. Brown that are made with BPA you may be able to exchange them at Babies R Us for any brand of BPA Free bottles. There is not a recall yet, but BRU is voluntarily exchanging them.

Please call your Babies R Us to make sure they are participating in this exchange.

I was able to successfully exchange all of my old Avent Bottles and got the new Born Free Bottles in exchange. My BRU said that they will be ruining this till the end of July.

No I didn't have my receipt, the BRU I went to didn't make you have your receipt for the exchange. Call your BRU and find out if they are participating in this exchange too.

it is totally up the the BRU so YMMV! At the store I went to, you could only change for certain BPA free bottles.

I heard they are doing a storewide policy change in August. No receipt, no refunds.

The BRU in Lansing, Michigan is still doing this (as of 7/30) and I think that she said it was running through the 10th of August (not 100% of that). We took back a bunch of Avent (just under $100 worth) and got BornFree.

BTW, the CSR said that the transaction had to be under $100. She also took the boxes from the new bottles to send back to Avent. I guess Avent wants to know what people are replacing their product with.

We just took back our Avent bottles, the CSR did say anything about them having to say Phillips Avent on them or anything. You do need to have all the part including the nipple.
