I tried to do this here in the Memphis area and was told that since they (Dr. Brown's) have not been offically recalled, they would not exchange them. :(

If you have the Dr. Brown or Avent BPA Bottles then you can exchange them, I would call your BRU to double check if they are exchanging them.

Dang, we had a TON of avent bottles from DD that we planned to use for DS, we got them down from the attic then they dissapeared! We CAN'T find them, it was ok because we had to replace them, but man, this would be nice now!

Just a quick update. This deal is still in effect until 8/10 when the new BRU return policy takes effect (at least according to the very nice CSR who did my returns).

4 days left!

Stay safe,

I called my store and they said bring them in and I asked about a time limit and they said they didn't know of any.

I wasn't told about any time limit either. but i brought 6 small avent bottles and 4 big ones. got $44 in store credit and all i got back with that was 4 small bpa free bottles and one big one (the one with disposable inserts). Talk about getting shortchanged!

The TRU in Eugene, OR will not take them back without a receipt - just FYI. I've had numerous problems with this particular store and their return policy on stuff I had a receipt for as well.

I went in to BRU to buy the rest of the things off my registry just last week. She said that they plan on stoping very soon since there is no recall out for them yet. So if anyone is planning on returning their bottles, better do it ASAP.

My store has been doing this for a while too, but I was told it will end on August 10th as well. The first time I asked about it, only after seeing the person in front of me doing this, I was told I could basically bring in my bottles as long as I had a registry there (my baby was about 5 or 6 months old at the time). Then a couple of months later I called up there to verify I could still exchange the bottles and was told yes. I get up there that same day with my bottles and then they tell me I had to have a registry within the last 6 months. Well my baby was almost 9 months old then! I was so mad! I'm going to call up there tomorrow to double-check one more time. It looks like it is definitely YMMV.

I called 2 local BRU for my friend today about the bottle exchange.
The first store told me that they are not exchanging them as of today because of the new return policy.
The second store told me that yes the are still exchanging the bottles even the new return policy was in place. So call around if you still want to exchange the bottles.
