    Default Tops Week of 10/23/11

This is the last week to earn your gas points. I really struggled to earn enough points to get $1.40 off this time around.

This week wasn't great, but here are a couple of the deals I used:

Prego sauce is $5/3. Use the $1/3 Q from the 10/16 SS and get them for $1.33 each.

Pure Protein bars $5/5. Use the B1G1 from the 10/02 RP and they're .50 cents each.

Folgers 10.3oz - 11.3 oz cans are $7/2. Use the $1/1 from the 10/2 RP and get them for $2.50 apiece.

Furmano's Canned Tomatoes $10/10. The $1/3 from the 9/25 RP makes them .67/can.

if it's any consolation, the "tomato" coupon isfor the pizza sauce only. buy 4 pizza sauces, get 1$ off.
there is/was a printable for the steamies thing. not sure how it would work with the ecoupon, as there would be "overage" which tops tends to not allow, but who knows. i think it only let me print one.

The Salada tea bags are on sale too for $1.99. I was able to get a $.75 printable coupon from mojosavings.com coupon database and got (2) Salada green tea for $.49 ea.

Ah. That does make me feel better.

My Tops reduces the price of the "overage" coupons so they don't exceed the value of the item. So, if I have a .50 cent coupon, and the item is only .49, the coupon is deducted as .49.

Nice one! I think I've got enough green tea to last all winter, so I don't feel too bad that I missed it this time around.

i know that generally a .55c doubled coupon will ring up as .55 and then .45 doubled, but since the steamies thing is two coupons, i just wondered which q to use first, the store or the manu.
glad i let you sleep better at night in regards to the tomato coupon thing lol.
oh, the welch's thing is still sending out coupons for the jelly, making it $1, which is ok in my book for a big "name brand" jelly. (i'm not the stockpiler some on here are)

From my experience, when I do the manufacturer coupon, then the Tops coupon, it usually goes through better without beeping. Is that how it works for you?
