Week of 10/2

There are four $1 doublers in this week's Tops flyer.
I'm using mine on Nestle's morsels, on sale $5/2. There's a $1/2 IP floating around that will make these $1.50 per package using the doublers.

Betty Crocker Specialty Potatoes are $5/4. There's a .50/2 coupon good for any flavor of BC boxed potatoes on coupons.com. When doubled, you'll pay just .75 box.

I am thrilled about the kelloggs buy 10 get an instant $5 off..
I plan to do 10 packs of cookies $2.50x10 = $25.00-$5.00 instantly off

Then I have the coupons found in the tailgating brocure booklet. $1/2 and double 4 of them -$8.00 then I have 2 keebler peelies for $1/1 cookies so -$2.00 so a total of $10.00 oop or $1.00 each pack. Not too bad for a good brand.

$1 a package for brand name cookies is a stock up price, I'd say.

There are also cheese-it coupons and town house crackers that would work really good with the deal too. I have no more $1/1 peelies so My oop would be a tad bit higher but totally worth it too. We eat lots of cheese and crackers and the first grader takes his snack to school each day.

Darn. We go through a lot of Cheez-it here, but I'd already used my doublers on the chocolate chips.

I make a batch of cookie dough, then roll it into a log and freeze it. When we want cookies, I'll cut off a 1/2 dozen and bake them.

My Tops has the doublers on the in store flyers too. I will make a few trips before the sale week is over.

That's a really good Idea to make a log and freeze it. Is it hard to cut the cookies off when you want to cut them and bake?

Wait, I can use more than 4 doublers?

I've frozen logs of peanut butter cookie dough and chocolate chip cookie dough, and they're both very easy to cut when frozen. Then I just stick the log back in the freezer.

I guess it would be just as easy to bake the cookies, then freeze them. But then it would be too easy to eat them all, and we have no self control.
