As "UN-coupon friendly" as my local Tops store is, I had to "LOL" when I saw this in the ad...



Apparently there are some catches tho...

Cuz... this offer is "for a limited time only"
and
The cap is 10 coupons/100 gas points PER Bonus card
and
Tops "Store" coupons and "Super" coupons are excluded

The ad states 100 points per visit, not per card. In 2 days I have earned $1.30 off a gallon by using 130 coupons.

Incidentally, I find the Tops in my area to be quite coupon friendly. I am in the Buffalo area (Clarence Hollow). Where do you have problems and what are the problems?

wow! 130 coupons.
i was happy with 50c off a gallon. there isnt a tops gas station within ten miles but im considering driving there. i certainly would for 1.30/gallon off. that's potentially over 30$ off. well done.

that is the down side with the take over of the quality stores, there is only one tops gas station in my area... 30 miles away. but on an up side i will be returning to classes in that same town and should be able to swing by. now to use the coupons and get me some free or almost free gas.

the lady inside was like, to get that discount, you had to have spent 900$, i was like, "ok".

I shop at Tops, but didn't even know they have a gas station. There is not one near me :0(

I shop at the Olean store... and the manager there has a thing for coupons/couponers... and to be honest... it's really annoying.
God forbid I use a printable coupon... oh lord...lol... it's like the manager transforms into Inspector Gadget ... reading the coupon in it's entirety and it wouldn't surprise me if he smelled it.. to make sure it was paper. lol

In his defense tho...
There *IS* a lady in our area that tries to use coupons for items she doesn't buy, tries to slip by with expired coupons, etc..
I'm not sure of what ALL she does that is corrupt.. but I have been in line behind her.. and wowzah... she's a beast! She's like 6ft. 4"/220lbs... and is kinda grungy...kinda looks like a dude... She gets very *loud* and gives the cashiers the "what fer", etc.. So, combined with her *height/size*, her voice and short fuse ..she is very intimidating to young cashiers.
She's actually banned from RiteAid.. lol.. for intimidating and threatening cashiers.

So, it's this ONE lady who has alot of the area stores on high coupon alert..

It's just a bummer for the rest of us couponers who have to endure the skepticism and extra time at the registers to wait for the cashiers & often the manager.. to inspect each coupon. :(

Sooo... needless to say, there has to be a REALLLLLY good sale to draw me into Tops...
Cuz out of all of our area stores... Tops is the worst for couponers.

But, I'm glad to hear that you don't have any issues a your Tops!! lol

Luckily, I have other grocery stores; Giant, Park -n- Shop, Reid's Food Barn and Walmart/Kmart to get groceries... in addition to the Dollar General/Family Dollar/Aldi/Big Lots stores.. and CVS/RiteAid stores.
So, I tend to fair pretty well.
