i've asked before but no one answered. Does anyone know if the spend x get x back offers use the shelf prices or the sale prices. (Actually i don't even know if it is x after coupons or not, although that seems very unlikely).
if you have the right coupons, the ragu/hellmans/knorr/etc deal could be cheap for stuff i use. thanks for any info.

added: received the OYNO q after i paid so that made it more difficult to determine what prices it used. i actually needed mayo and ice cream so i did the deal without going "rockbottom" just to do it. with sale prices knorr/breyers/skippy/suave/helmanns added up to 21.46 or something. after coupons it was 11.40 or something. -7$ OYNO. bleh. not great, lol, but i needed ice cream. (mayo price could've been better too).
the suave deal is obviously the best but it only takes up 7.96 of the 20$ if you limit it to four like coupons.
i plan on going back so if anyone knows about the shelf price thing, i'd appreciate any info. tia.

JIS... maybe I am missunderstanding your question.. I looked back over my TOPS ad and I dont see any OYNO deal.. The ragu, knorr, hellmans, and suave stuff I see if for extra gas points..

I would assume though.. if something was on sale, and had some sort of OYNO deal it would use the sale price, not the reg shelf price.

oh wow. i was unaware that Tops had different sales in different cities. i apologize. i just checked the weekly circular for a PA city and i saw the gas points deal rather than the OYNO. Sorry about that.
I asked about the sale/shelf prices because i know pathmark used to use shelf prices and, for example, waldbaum's didn't.
thanks for the heads up MrsAlias. I'll be sure to specify where i shop in my posts in the future as not to confuse and or get someone to go do a deal that they don't even have lol.

I know ads can change from city to city.. but thats a huge change! I would rather have OYNO deals then gas points!

i haven't seen gas points before lol. if it means anything, they showed up on my receipt too so who knows. if the deal were really crazy it might be worth trying even if it wasn't in your ad. maybe the catalina coupon would just appear.
now the question is, will the 7$q work if i do the deal again and try to get another 7$q. lol. i know walgreens doesn't allow that but cvs and some other supermarkets do.
