Funstuff Re: Movie recommendations & ratings

White Oleander
I loved this movie. Michelle Pfeiffer's character was alittle scary only because she didnt think she did anything really wrong, that he "deserved" it.

Cloverfield
I went into this movie thinking "oh fine Ill watch it but I know I wont like it". Boy was I wrong. I loved loved this movie. I didnt think I would like it because of the camera moving around so much but it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Kind of silly but good action movie

27 Dresses
It was ok but predictable. If it was on HBO or Encore I may watch it but I wouldnt stop everything just to watch it again.

Juno
This was a cute and funny movie. I love Ellen Page as it is. Jason Bateman's character was so very true.

The Mist
It was ok but the ending UUUGGGG I said how it was going to end like the last 30 minutes of the movie and my son, 18 yrs old, was like "just watch the movie Mom" LOL

The Reaping
Interesting, weird and sad. I do like Hilary Swank but not her best movie

Getting ready to watch:
Fool's Gold
Just Add Water

What was I thinking? I want 4 hours of my life back after watching these movies this past weekend UUUGGG

Mr Woodcock

Meet the Spartans

However I did watch this movie strictly because Justin Timberlake was in it. I do like alot of Christina Ricci's movies and Samuel L Jackson is one of my favorite actors. It was one of those movies that surprised me because I ended up liking it so much. When it comes down to it its an amazing love story.

You've got to see this one:

American Movie
It's a doc about a wanna-be horror movie director and his cast of friends & family that help him. It won some award at Sundance. This movie was great!

Kit Kittredge An American Girl
A little depressing because so many people are going through similar problems today. But my daughter enjoyed it and cheered for Kit all the way through it.

The Happening
Fairly gory, but I enjoyed it. I didn’t get emotionally attached to any of the characters so it didn’t bother me too much when they got knocked off.

Jonestown: The Life & Death of Peoples Temple
Depressing but also chilling documentary about the Peoples Temple and Jim Jones with never before seen footage and audio tapes.

Across The Universe

this movie was really good, especially if you love the Beatles...we even bought it and we rarely do that.
it is very good artistic kind of musical...not like the traditional musicals...not cheesy. it has some really moving moments and some visually catching moments. it is best watched on a bigger screen to get the full affect of the visuals and artistic elements. just keep in mind to watch it more as a piece of art as it was meant rather than a literal storyline.

Definitely Maybe

also bought this one (these are the only 2 movies we have bought in over a year). this one was very heartwarming and charming love story with just the right amount of comedy. i loved the little girls character...so adult for her age but still so young...the perfect mix.
