The Shadow of the Wind: Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Sad, sad stories, but a good read. Lots of story twists. Set during the Spanish civil war in the early 1900s.
I have about 50 pages to go.
I'm on 'A Thousand Splendid Suns'. His first book, 'Kite Runner',,,,,,my aunt said it was so hard to read she had to put it down. On the back I was warned parts would be excruciating.
This one is harder! Gosh, not nice for before bed - my heart aches for these women.
There is 1/3 left. I hope the author transports all of this into something meaningful and good, as in the first one!

A Man Called Blessed by Ted Dekker and Bill Bright. Very interesting Christian Fiction
I have the Kite Runner, but haven't read it yet. I am reading Another Chance to Dream, by Lynn Kurland. She has written a whole bunch of books about a fictitious family, thru the ages, some are historical romance, and others are time-travel/fantasy but all involve this family. This is the first one, and I have read some of the others, but may read them again, as I have really enjoyed them.
