Default When they change people's voices on animated shows

It makes me crazy when they have different people suddenly do the voices for characters on the show.

Right now PBS Kids has Bob The Builder on. Both my boys LOVE Bob, and the only days our PBS station shows it is Saturday and Sunday. For the past few weekends, I've noticed that Bob (and Spud, and a few others) are being voiced by someone different that we've been hearing all along. Right now one of the guys that's on 'Who's Line is it anyhow' Greg Proops is doing the voice for Bob, and it just doesn't sound right to me. I know it's just because I'm so used to hearing the other guy but right now all I can picture is Greg up on the stage with Drew Carey and the others.

Drat - I'm going to have to put in a Bob video at some point today to get the other guys voice in my head.

What did they ever do with Clifford's voice after John Ritter passed away? I know the following season they had "Clifford's Puppy Days".

I'm not sure if they made any other Clifford shows after he passed away? That too would be strange to listen to someone else being Clifford!

On the Puppy days it's funny to hear Henry Winkler as one of the animals, off hand I can't remember which one he is, the bird maybe.

I didn't know that John Ritter did Clifford's voice! LOL -- Man, do I live in a vacuum!! haha!!

I know what you mean about changing voices when you're used to the one all along. I wonder if the kids pick up on it as well?

Yeah LOL I can see why that would be weird not only to listen to but to see as well. Is it like the foreign movies that are dubbed in English so you hear them talking long after their lips have stopped moving, or their lips are still moving and nothing's coming out?!

Here's another kind of disturbing thing for those of you who don't get to watch PBS shows regularly! George Carlin does the narration on Thomas (the train) and His Friends. Him doing anything on a children's show just seems so off to me, isn't his comedy routing definitely not rated PG?

And yet I have more useless trivia, Lee Ann Wommack (country music singer) sings the theme song for The Berenstain Bears.....

:Sigh: I think my tv is set on PBS waaay too much!!! lol
