What are you reading?

I just finished reading the Chronicles of Narnia books. I had read the first two when I was a kid and started re-reading them when my dd got the boxed set but just now finished them. I still love books like this. I was sad when the stories were over. But makes me hope they will make another Narnia movie.

Now I need something to read. Bought myself "Wicked" awhile ago and my dd borrowed it and has yet to return it, it's in her locker at school. So I need to get that back.

But anyone read anything they can reccomend? I am trying to make myself read more and watch t.v. less, though I'll never give it up completely! I like reading. I just have to be in the right mood to read.

I am reading "Queen of Babble" by Meg Cabot. I've read her other books and really enjoyed them. Light chick books.

I'm reading the Devil Wears Prada. I have seen the movie so I wanted to check out the book. I will say that it is drastically different from the movie.

I'm reading "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. I'm about halfway thru it right now-kinda long-but so far it's been a GREAT read....very interesting!

My DH's "If You Didn't Bring Jerky, What Did I Just Eat?" by Bill Heavey. DH got it for Christmas, and it is a bunch of short stories about hunting/fishing/the outdoors, etc.

Normally, I am reading Grisham, or something similar.

Is she the author of the Princess Diaries? I have read her books.

I read the book. Liked it a lot better than the movie, had read it first. But definitely different than the movie.

Ummm.... magazines? I keep finding good deals or ways to get them for free and I get so many mags a month that I am kept busy just getting through those and keeping the clutter under control! I do like Meg Cabot (mentioned above)- very funny, light reading. Oh, and my favorite is Janet Evanovich. If you don't mind foul language (becuase she can be pretty filthy), you have got to give the Stephanie Plum series a try. She is a female bounty hunter that stays in precarious situations and makes me laugh out loud!

Yea, I read the book too. Very good. Movie was cute.

Yes she is. She has written several adult books. Very enjoyable. Good for chilling out!
