TLC announces "Extreme Couponing All-Stars" as a 7 part weekly show airing Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 10 P.M. EST

TLC will be pitting 12 of its "Extreme Couponing" cast against each other in a 7 part show titled "Extreme Couponing All-Stars".


The challenge is:

1. Only 30 minutes to shop
2. They must buy $500 worth of items
3. Nothing can be full price
4. Entire haul will be donated

Each episode will feature 2 couponers going against each other. The winner of each episode will be determined by whoever has the highest % of savings. The Seasons 1 hr. finale will showcase the 3 winners ( best shoppers ) battling it out in the same store to claim the ultimate title of ~ "Extreme Couponing All-Star".

We realize that there may be discussion, debates, rants, etc. regarding these shows. Our goal is to keep the board & forums as organized as possible so we ask that all threads / posts regarding the TLC "Extreme Couponing All-Stars" shows regardless of the topic be in 1 forum only.

This post is to give you an advanced heads up that all threads ( regardless of topic ) regarding these shows are to be posted in the "That's Entertainment" forum only. Threads posted elsewhere will either be moved or merged into an existing thread in the "That's Entertainment" Forum.

If they added one more rule, I'd be thrilled:

Oh, and one more - "No fraudulent use of coupons"

They'd have a fan here if they added these 2!

Looks interesting, and it is for a good cause. So is the normal show setup over?

The thing that gets me is that there seems to be very little actual food. That one guy got tons of Pepsi. Our food bank doesn't want stuff like that. They only want wholesome food. Yeah it's good that they are donating. But... Where is the food?

And I could tell that the African american lady was going to lose. Yes she did not buy enough stuff. But when they were showing the savings, I knew there was no way. Most of the others got stuff for free. She didn't.

In a way I think it is an unfair competition. Unless they can get all of the stores to bend all of the rules equally it is not going to be fair. Her store had rules and they seemed to enforce them.

I don't normally watch this show, but me and FI watched it on OnDemand last night out of curiousity and we're just in awe at some of the coupons these people had. One guy had like a $10. off tide coupon-- WHAT!? Where are these high value coupons hiding at because I need them asap lol.
