House : Season 8

I haven't seen any recent threads discussing House. Considering a new season started last night, I'd love to see what people thought of last night's show- or just the story of Greg House, MD, in general.

Honestly, I was kind of depressed to see the jump from last season's ending to this season's beginning. I'm like, "Where's the middle? I want to see Dr. House treat someone with malaria, parasite infestation, or something on the island to where he escaped!" Instead, all I got was prison.

What can ya do?



Also bummed Cuddy will no longer be around. Boo.

Tonight's episode looks like House is back at the hospital. We get to see who's taken over Cuddy's position. I'm speculating Wilson, but it could be just about anyone.

I love the show. This past episode was really good. Its neat to see other fans out there. Looking forward to next week.

I haven't watched any of the new episodes for various reasons, but partially because I was a little aggravated with the timeline jump. I'm a linear person, and that kinda stuff makes me nuts.

Wilson would SUCK as dean of medicine...he's such a doormat, although I love him to death. Again, haven't seen the shows, but if he sticks with Greg even after he drove a car through a house he's either insane or the biggest codependent on the planet. I thought I saw in a teaser that it was supposed to be Chase as dean, who would suck too although not as much. Why keep trying shuffle people around? Just get a new dean to add some drama and interest.

Well, the good news is Wilson is NOT the Dean.

As far as the timeline jump- yeah, I agree. I soooo wanted to see him "get in trouble" not just go from "I'm on a beach escaping from a crime... and poof! I'm in front of the parole board." I'm also expecting a, "Well if you do that, we can just call your parole officer and it's back to prison for you!" every episode this season.

Since it is possibly the last season of this show, I'm wondering what will happen around the last 2-3 episodes. I could hope and cross my fingers for a Cuddy cameo appearance, but most likely I don't really have high hopes for House himself making it through the end of the series.

Well, episode 3 is on tonight. He's back in his old office and Thirteen shows up. Crossing my fingers this'll be a good one.

On a side note, the patient's symptoms include giving away money to practically anyone. Wouldn't mind being his friend...

You know, that was my thought at first. Then I realized that the million dollar check he dropped off at the beginning to the Phoenix organization was a certified bank check. He mentioned something about owning a software company, so I'm guessing he did have the cash to throw around.

I do have one question after tonight's episode- do we know where exactly House is living since he has that ankle bracelet? He seems to spend a lot of his time in the hospital, but he comes in and out of the entrance each day. Hmm..
