I was able to see this episode at the original air time, for the first time. I thought the army minister Chris Duff and his wife, were awesome. It was really good to see the positive spin on using coupons. Chris gave away their huge stockpile for donation!! I was so inspired! Even though I think TLC like shows with a little controversy, because it spells RATINGS, (hording diapers with no children and using X coupon on Z product; which is completely illegal))!
The second guest Antoinette, was probably the most realistic episode yet. Her little girl (what cutie pie) was bringing coupons home from school !
I still don't understand how and where doubles are unlimited or how much time & $$ the guest spend getting the 100 plus coupons?? Why do the stores allow coupons before savings cards?? My stores all want that card before they ring up my first item.
I really liked this episode this time, a lot less controversy than other extreme couponing shows, and much more practical.

I go ccccrrrraaazzzy over sweet stuff!!
Some stores don't dictate when the savings card has to be input. I know at my store that has unlimited doubles, you don't get doubles without the savings card, so I don't know if you get doubles after the fact if you swipe the card at the end. I always run my card first, because I would forget. My only store that doubles without a savings card, only doubles 4 like coupons per transaction, and then my 3rd doubling store has a savings card, but again only 4 like coupons.
I think every store/area is different and it is about learning your area/stores and couponing correctly in your location.

I have a question about this eposide.
Where I live even if I got everything free our state charges taxes on your PREcoupon amount. So say I have $200 worth of grocieries. And I use coupons to get that to $0. I still have to pay taxes on $200. Do they not have to pay taxes to get a totally free trip?
This episode was less disturbing. Both of them had me smiling.
I also liked the large scale donation Chris was able to do by couponing. And the fact that he pointed out that he would order large quantities to keep from shelf clearing.
Antoinette was very real, and yes - that little girl was adorable!
The manager overriding the register limit?- yeah, there's real life for you!
The Starkist coupon problem - I didn't quite follow.
What was going on when she said "why is it taking only a dollar?"
The coupon was .75
Cashier said it was wrong product - she replied that it said "any".
Supervisor agreed that it was any and did an override.
Don't know what that dollar thing was.
Oh well.

I thought it was a great show! I know if I got 100 coupons for a drink I would spend 20 bucks getting them.
