...I was concerned though about how Chris got all the printables for the $5 off Jeans coupon from Target. You can only print 2 coupons per computer for those coupons and they said he purchased 150 pairs of Jeans for free....

I pointed out to hubby that the clearance tags sure look like Target's and I remembered the $5 IP they had available. So Target took the hit on the extreme couponing for those.

What I want to know is at what store can a shopper find 176 packages of turkey bacon on the shelf. I don't think so!

But at least on this show, they did admit that they had special ordered items.

I really liked both of the couponers!! I thought it was awesome that Chris and his wife donated so much. I liked Antoinette too. She is a very "normal" couponer. I liked that she did not have a huge stockpile and only got what she needed. Her daughter was adorable and even my kids said "Awwww" when her daughter brought home coupons from school. So sweet!

I thought the show last night was better (esp since they showed how someone in Chicago can save without doubles - though I don't think they clearly stated that). Maybe he has access to 75 computers and he and his wife made 75 trips each to the store?
Or he got a lot of family and friends involved?
(just wanting to believe he wouldn't go against policy...)

I find the show entertaining and informative. The only thing I would like to see is showing extreme couponers who cannot double or triple and don't have a store that has its own store card for bonus savings. That's reality for me.

i read on another forum that chris asked all his friends/family and folks at church to print the coupons for the jeans..telling them why he was needing so many..to buy for the clothing bank he donated them to...thats how he was able to get so many jeans

The store cards used on the show aren't giving them bonus savings unless you can load coupons onto them. The only reason for using a store card (without loadable coupons) is to get the sale price. When stores don't have a card, that means you don't need one to get the sale price. For instance, Publix doesn't use a card so everyone gets the sale price regardless. But Winn Dixie requires the card for sales. A free card that anyone can get. It's not some insider type of secret.
