Baby coupons!!
Okay - I guess I will be the first to throw an opinion out there.....
So God is not her source of coupons - how on earth does one person get or even need for that matter, 14,000 INSERTS - that's a small town's entire populations inserts right there....
Also, I don't think I would use 150 bottles of Exceddrin in my life and I think it's safe to say that junk will expire LONG before either of those families can use it.
Of the two, I can relate to neither - but the second is a lil more with it! She gets 4 inserts a week and she buys 4 papers to get them.... that I can handle.
Whose next to voice an opinion?
All I can say is that my Winn-Dixie's registers will lock up when using less than 10 coupons and they don't let you scan the shopping card last, which is the way the first shopper got overage.

Overall I think this episode was a better than any of the other episodes.
First lady, Missy, had a large family and she came out and said right away that she also uses her coupons to help others. The items she bought were all items I would buy if I had that many coupons, yep if I was going to get paid to buy Excedrin I would buy it too as the overage paid for her meat. And I don't use a lot of pain meds but I could donate that somewhere for sure or if I was inclined I could re-sell it at a yard sale. One of the keys to couponing is saving the coupons, even the coupons you think you might not use because you just never know when something is going to be a money maker and overage helps pay for items that don't normally have coupons like meat and produce. The only issue I had was the large amounts of inserts, her answer on where she gets them "from God" was pretty ambiguous and it does make me wonder if she just did not want to say where she gets them. That could be that she gets them illegally - OR - maybe dumpster dives and just is embarrassed to say it on national TV. I was ALL OVER the laundry detergent deal...sweet! We do 20+ loads of laundry a week so to me that was a great deal she did there.
Second lady, Amy, I thought she was more average and I could relate more to her ways. She was frugal, gardening, canning, hunting and processing her own meat. I could see that her and her family live a frugal lifestyle and that is how I am. I don't hunt meat, and the thought kind of grosses me out for some odd reason, just not for me I guess, but we buy and have processed beef and lamb from local 4-H kids and fill the freezer so I get that idea.
Overall I was pretty pleased with this episode and even got a tip (frozen juice into jelly...I may have to try that!)

My stores here hit their line total at 200, so I know that I can do 100 items and 100 coupons without breaking the register. If I have more than that I know to break it up. And our stores here will let you scan the card last. To me it does not really matter I guess if you scan it first or last unless you are trying to get the "up to" value on a Free or BOGO coupon pre-sale price. I don't try to do that, so it does not matter if the card is scanned first or last here.

I was speaking of Winn-Dixie, my local stores put some programming in place that makes it very difficult to use a large amount of coupons in an order. Perhaps my store is just not as coupon friendly as some but they don't allow overage which would be done by scanning the card last. I'm not sure what the offiicial policy is on that.
